I live in Washington DC, am a 59 year old grandmother and just learning how to play guitar. I became a member and started with the 30-day challenge class online. I love it! I didn’t think I would be able to get the hang of it but I’m coming along. Thanks to Dan, who teaches this class and who has a real talent for sharing his knowledge in an immensely effective way.

Great courses combining theory and practical and very well organised. The courses are structured well thought out easy to follow and you can go as fast or as slow as you want to, choose your own pace. Highly recommended.

I'm so glad I found this course. It's by far the best course I've taken in my 25 years as a guitar player. I practice even more than before. Really good work guys! Musical greetings, Fred

I‘ve been a a member of YGA Club for 2 months now and I really enjoy following the lessons and doing my practice routine nearly every day. The lessons are well structured, the teachers and the content is great, the combination of small units with instructor videos, player with adjustable speed, tabs, supporting material, backing tracks is really cool. An outstanding feature of the YGA is the personalized learning path that gives you guidance what to practice and what not and helps you to concentrate on the essentials. The guys of YGA are doing a great job with a lot of enthusiasm to offer great quality content. What is really great are the guitar player studies of famous guitarists where you get to know the things that make their unique style. Other cool features include the possibility to send a video of yourself playing once per month to get feedback of the teachers, the five day challenges, the theory courses, the technical skill courses, the live events and the community. All in all this is a great place to develop your guitar skills and knowledge further. I can highly recommend the YGA club.

I have been learning how to play the guitar on my own for the last 2 years. What has started as a pandemic hobby has blossomed into a true passion. Prior to YGA, I had been going the usual you tube circuit and visiting several different sites. It has helped me improve tremendously but I definitely plateaued and could see that I would benefit from more structure and better organization. Enter YGA Club and it fit the bill perfectly. It is extremely well organized and tailors a program to your level. The videos are high quality and include relevant backing tracks. I really love the ability to see on screen tab and to be able to loop sections and slow the tempo. Additionally vs in person lessons, the fees are very reasonable.

Sorry for english mistakes in advance, i'm from Italy. I've played guitar self-taught since 18, now im 26. In this last year, through YGA's lessons i've understood HOW to move onto the guitar and use with effectiveness all my past knowledge. My guitar skills have doubled/tripled in just a year with respect to 7/8 years of self-taught playing. greetings from italy!

I have tried a few subscription guitar sites and yourguitaracademy is the best in my opinion. The instructors are really engaging and the lessons interesting. So far I have completed some of the the theory labs and blues courses (Dan), improvisation (Thomas) and Metal (Dion) and found them all to be excellent. I am an (almost) intermediate player that had plateau'd and I needed some instruction to break the cycle. YGA has definitely done this for me and I look forward to devouring the rest of the lessons. If you are stuck in a rut then you won't regret subscribing!

Of all the many on-line guitar courses available, YGA is by far the most comprehensive and well-presented. All the tutors are very skilled and capable musicians with great enthusiasm for their art and willingness to see others improve and enjoy the excitement of the guitar in its many forms and styles. The commitment they have to their pupils is unparalleled, and with YGA the only way is up. Cost of membership is very low considering the product.

I have only been a member for a few months, but find the content and structure of the training amazing, easy to follow, challenging, and with the variety to cater for a wide range of music tastes and competency levels. Keep it up!!

I have purchased Blues course and already happy with the content of lessons and Danny as a teacher. Thanks to his lesson I have learned more than from other online lessons. Recently joined as a member of YGA Club family, enjoying blues lessons and exploring content. Huge thanks Michal from West Sussex

I'm really pleased with my progress in my first month with an electric guitar, it has to be attributed to the courses on YGA, great tutors, well-structured units and the godsend which is Soundslice. As well as following the courses linearly I've also started the player studies which makes the learning process even more fun.

I attended a Jam Day in Brighton this year and had a great time. I'd never played with other people before, so was quite nervous, but Dan and his team made it a really enjoyable and unthreatening experience. It gave me bags of confidence and the realisation that you don't have to be a virtuoso to get a lot out of jamming with others. I'd recommend it to anyone.

I've been a member for a few months now, and I can highly recommend YGA. First of all, you will get a pathway based on what you would like to learn as a guitar player, which is tailored to you. Inside this pathway, you will find different video lessons with text, music, tabs etc. These are all of great production quality and the tutors are very good at explaining and teaching. And you will not only learn the different patterns, techniques etc., but also where to use them and when. Every time you sit down to practice/play you will know exactly what to work on because of this pathway, but if you sometimes would like to do something else there are plenty of great player studies, different "short" technique/skills courses and so on. You will also have the opportunity to post progress videos of yourself along the way if you like, and the tutors will give you feedback on your playing which is very helpful.

I've been half playing the guitar for years now by just bashing out some chords here and there but have never really focused on learning properly. The lessons and learning path with YGA is absolutely fantastic and I'm making real progress. There's a huge range for all levels as well. Couldn't recommend them more, plus there is a great little community to join as a member as well.

I have found that YGA has always found a way to stimulate and motivate me to carry on with my guitar learning and practice. Whenever there were link issues, ie blocked pop-ups, or bad links they have always been answered promptly and in a very friendly manner. Two of the things I liked best is YGA's explanation of various "how to" techniques that have helped me to grasp what other venues did not show and assumed one knew. Also, their play-along has the necessary tools to slow down and loop via their streamed training music. YGA, although far away from me, has always given me the feeling of comrades to play along with. I wish them all the best success in their endeavours!

Been having Lessons with Stew for a while now and enjoying every minute. Stew is very patient and a down to earth person who clearly loves his guitar. He is a great teacher who teaches everything you need to know for the stage you are at. All in all I can’t recommend him enough I love my Saturday mornings with Stew.

I would definitely recommend Rax to anyone, whether they are a beginner guitar player or not! Rax is such an awesome guitar teacher! Eight months ago, when I first started taking guirar lessons with Rax, I was virtually still just a beginner. However, now, eight months later, my guitar playing is blowing myself away at how much progress I've made, and how good I've gotten so quickly! And I owe it all to Rax! Thanks Rax! 5/5 Stars!

The lessons/videos cover a wide range of guitar topics and I've been able to find something on any subject I've been looking for. I've personally bought several courses which have helped me to develop my skillset. All of these courses were purchased on line and I can access them anytime I want.

I have just completed 10 one-to-one lessons with YGA. My tutor was Gonsalo and he has been amazing. Not only is he an inspirational guitarist but he is super chilled, encouraging, approachable and his teaching method just works. It's almost under the radar how he helps you get better but with a little bit of practice I've gone from only dreaming of playing the full Metallica Fade to black full solo at 100% to actually being able to play it. I've since, learnt so many other songs with relative ease and the fundamentals are better. My timing, improvisation, technique - it's all improved so much. I've been playing for many years and have never had a break through like this. I have a very busy job, two under 4 year old children so I couldn't have progressed without the direction of Gonsalo. I have also had a very good experience from the rest of the YGA team especially Ollie. I feel I have a very strong radar for BS but I can promise you, YGA, Ollie and especially Gonsalo, just love guitar and want you to grow as a player. A great company, couldn't recommend highly enough.

Great courses. I've done a lot with Justin Guitar and was looking to go further and his post beginner stuff wasn't clicking. YGAs setup and teaching style fit the same mold. They explain in detail and give quality exercises with theory mixed in. Hard to pin it down exactly but I understand what I'm learning and can tell I'm improving.
