“Excellent service. I was provided with support and advice from Leo. I began my journey in March 2023 when I initially started looking. I the did not find a property until March 2024 where I got back in contact with York money man and Leo and basically just picked up where we left off. Leo was quick and responsive to emails and helped give me a lot of reassurance as a first time single buyer. I would recommend them as 5 start service. Thank you!”

“Having used Yorkmoneyman back in 2022 when we bought our house, we were keen to use them again for out remortgage, we setup an appointment in January (our mortgage renewal was due at the beginning of May, so quite far in advance) we spoke to an advisor who was able to offer us a product but it was a bit too much for us to lock in and once locked in we couldn't go for another lender and we'd have to remind them to look and see if there were lower rates (only for same lender) nearer the time, which we didn't want to do in case there was a better deal with another lender. Anyway after discussion we decided to hold off and pop in another call for beginning of March as hopefully rates will be lower. Fast forward to March there were products available and rate was slightly lower (not much better but lower) however we were then informed that it might be better for us to stick to our current lender as they might not be able to process the remortgage in time (keep in mind this is 8th March and we have at least 6 weeks to complete the process) and that if we ended up on our variable rate it wouldn't be worth changing to a new lender? This made us unhappy as we felt like we'd been fobbed off as we're pretty organised people and had we been told this before we would have booked in a 2nd appointment earlier. It just felt like the advisor couldn't be bothered. After some back and forth we ended up deciding to take the risk on the new lender (which has all been sorted within 4 weeks!!) Long story short, the admin team at Yorkmoneyman are brilliant and so helpful but I think we'd either go it alone next time or find a new broker, especially as there is a cost involved and we don't feel like we got the most for our money considering the lack of good advice that was given to us. When we'd bought our house I would say they cared more and were more interested, this time round not so much (maybe a remortgage commission is lower?)”
