“Like one of the other reviewers here, we also suffer from a slow rural landline broadband (1.5 Mbps on a good day) with no prospect of it ever being upgraded to fibre. I had considered a satellite connection but was never quite convinced enough to risk the outlay required to try it. But a few weeks ago I discovered that we are (just) within reach of an EE mobile mast providing a 4G connection. I was still hesitating about trying it out, but one particularly bad day, when I had to re-boot the landline router about 4 times, I decided enough was enough and splashed out a couple of hundred pounds on a Huawei 4G LTE router, a decent outdoor antenna and an EE rolling one-month data-only SIM contract. Results have been most satisfactory after testing for several weeks, with a robust connection providing download/upload speeds of at least 30/12 Mbps and sometimes substantially faster. The intention was always to dispense with my landline entirely if the 4G system proved reliable and I have now done so. Initially, I thought I would just throw away our home phone and rely on mobiles until someone suggested switching to a VoIP system. I was amazed to find I could transfer my existing landline number to VoIP so I set about finding a suitable VoIP provider. Luckily, I found Yay.com through an internet search and signed up for a one month free trial to test out the concept. I did need some help to configure my 4G router and network correctly but a couple of phone calls to Yay.com had me up and running using a software evaluation phone on my PC. Some concern had been expressed over possible 4G latency issues leading to the kind of delays you sometimes hear on radio news reports when someone uses a satellite phone, but these fears soon proved unfounded. I therefore went ahead and ordered a Grandstream HT701 interface unit to connect my analogue phone on the network as a VoIP phone. The item was ordered late in the afternoon and arrived first thing the following morning. I found configuration details on the Yay.com website and although I did need to tweak a couple of settings I managed to get it working without assistance in just a few minutes. I have found the service from Yay.com to be faultless, and their technical support is a shining example of what we all hope for, but seldom actually experience. Their keen prices are the icing on the cake. I'm a very happy customer.”

“I recently switched my telephone service to Yay.com and purchased a Grandstream HT701 telephone adaptor to connect my cordless phones base station. In addition I am using the GS Wave app on my iPhone to make and receive VOIP calls. Initially I couldn't get the HT701 working and the helpful customer service team tried adjusting settings and sent me a replacement HT701. I also changed the telephone connector and it works! I'm a very happy customer. I live in rural Suffolk where broadband is taking years to be rolled out. I recently switched to a wi-fi broadband service provider and have now terminated my telephone line. With thanks to SuperHero Broadband and Yay.com's VOIP service I am making significant cost savings. I have an additional business telephone number for 99p a month - fantastic value. The call costs are very competitive too. If I grow my consultancy business I now know a great service provider who can help me keep my virtual office over heads down. Yay! Thank you Yay.com, Peter”

“Yay.com are so helpful, really nice to deal with. I've bought some phones from them, and they always turn up very quickly. I've also been experimenting using Sip trunks. Although they don't have to, they always try really hard to help you set everything up. They don't yet have as many features as some providers, and their documentation isn't as thorough, but their prices are very reasonable, and the service seems reliable. Can't ask for much more.”

“From my first impressions of the website and their offering, to setting things up, and now having used their system for over a month, I have to say I am very impressed with Yay.com. Their services are reliable and great value and the staff really know what they're doing. At one point I found a minor glitch and worked through it with a guy called Laurence who was systematic and friendly and diligent and got everything sorted very quickly. I'm a very satisfied customer and I hope to stay with this VoIP company for a long time. Highly recommended.”
