“Combined with the standoff these make the tower very stable indeed. But... they need to be made with an element of adjustability. As they are, the ground needs to be completely flat to use them. If the ground is even slightly higher at the point where the stbiliser sits on the ground then you're stuck. The cross pieces on the tower stop the stabiliser being slid further up the tower so thought needs to be given to making the stabiliser length, and the stabiliser brace, adjustable. The stabiliser is pretty much essential, but as supplied it can be difficult or impossible to use.”

Hi, thanks for your feedback, however rather than the stabilisers being adjustable, we do already offer Adjustable Height Base Plates and Adjustable Height Castors as optional extras which means you can raise the height of the actual tower to avoid this situation. If you don't have either of these, when this situation arises, we recommend making up the height of the ground with timbers so the stabilisers can be fitted above the horizontal on the frames then the stabilisers will make good contact the ground. Remember, the stabilisers are not load bearing, they are designed to 'stabilise' the tower. I hope this makes sense - it is a useful tip for future purchasers of our Classic DIY Tower system which is used and enjoyed by many thousands of customers nationally. We have been making this tower now for more than 32 years!

“Excellent product for the price. Replaced my old rusty tower so hopefully, the galvanised finish will keep it new longer, which allows for continued ease of assembly. Bought two scaffold boards at the local merchants and cut them to suit to provide a sturdy platform and for a lot less cost.”

“the goods arrived in good time , but they were damaged , photo`s are available i rang and advised of this and was told i would be rung back , no one did , i was desperate to use the tower and could not wait , so i had to do a botch repair a tube that was crushed to enable the interconnecting parts to interlock and straighten a bent horizontal bar so that the tubes would alline. i am pretty sure the parts were damaged BEFORE dispatch as parts around them not damaged or marked. this means no quanlity control or customer service , pretty poor”

I’m glad you were able to do a temporary fix to use for your immediate Job. I can assure you that there was no damage when your order left us, and upon reviewing the picture the carrier took upon delivery there would be no way this would not have been noticed if it were. “I ordered my ladder-mate online which was fuss free, delivery was very prompt too. I had to call the company at the time of ordering to ask the minimum width of the ladder-mate which was no issue as they went to check whilst I was on the phone, 295mm as it turns out.”

“The product is very good but it needs to be clearly labaled on what you’re actually getting. I was expecting to get scaffolding floorboards if I bought a full tower but they were not part of the deal clearer instruction on what is available in a tower and what isn’t.”
