About Stringers Music:

Stringers of Edinburgh is one of Scotland’s longest established and most respected musical instrument dealers. We supply violins, violas, cellos and bows of all levels and offer the highest standard in repair and restoration. Stringers London opened in 2007 and over the past thirteen years has grown to become one of London's leading violin dealers. In both shops, all of our staff members are proficient string players, many are former or current teachers, and always happy to help and advise. All instruments are set up by our team of expert restorers in our on-site workshops and played and assessed by staff before going on sale.

“This is what really excellent service and advice, ( in my case over the phone ), is like. Appreciate it for yourselves when you need it, otherwise you will be missing out !! I am a recent newcomer to violins, but not to music. ( I play piano. ) I am struggling with slipping and support of the violin. I decided to change the chinrest, the violin came with, advice from Stringers. Helped tremendously ! Now i'm changing my shoulder rest with my thoughts in life, that you get what you pay for. I sought advice over the phone yet again, because i had three choices that id researched. Two were a much lesser price than the one i have chosen. ( yet to arrive ). I was offered a trial at home of the less expensive ones, which i declined. However, the one i have chosen, one has to purchase because of cost and the ability to tailor it to ones own requirements. (understandable) So, after advice, i am very confident that i have made the right choice. Hopefully will be able to confirm this at a later date. What a shame i live so far away that i can't pop into the shop to meet and discuss face to face.”

“This, my first purchase from Stringers was a prompt and trouble-free delivery. Item, a double case for violin and viola, at a very reasonable price and substantial build quality.
