About Stringers Music:

Stringers of Edinburgh is one of Scotland’s longest established and most respected musical instrument dealers. We supply violins, violas, cellos and bows of all levels and offer the highest standard in repair and restoration. Stringers London opened in 2007 and over the past thirteen years has grown to become one of London's leading violin dealers. In both shops, all of our staff members are proficient string players, many are former or current teachers, and always happy to help and advise. All instruments are set up by our team of expert restorers in our on-site workshops and played and assessed by staff before going on sale.

“Bought a good solid, weighty violin/viola case. Good value. Need 3 hands to open though, as the magnetic catches fall back and close the flaps whilst you try to unzip the case at the same time as releasing the catch.”

“Having ordered a particular violin string online I was contacted by Stringers to say that it was out of stock, but was offered a more expensive string of the same make at no extra charge. I received the order the following day. Fantastic service, I will continue to use this company for my needs, though small, as they are so nice to deal with which is sadly not the case with all in the industry. Well done to all at Stringers”

“Bought online a 1/8 size violin outfit with bow and case for my 6 year old to start Suzuki lessons, used but in lovely condition, for a very reasonable price. It was ready to collect literally within a couple of hours of purchase and he is delighted with it. I also decided I'd get a full size one so I can learn along with him - same outfit and cost. Also ready the day after online order. The lady in the shop couldn't have been more helpful each time. Excellent :-)”

“Great service from Stringers Edinburgh. I live in the Faroe Islands so cannot shop in person….no problems though, Stringers staff do it for me! Have asked on several occasions for them to choose products for me and it always works. I was especially impressed when they went above and beyond in buying in a lovely wooden music stand from another shop for my husband’s birthday present. It was an item they don’t have in stock themselves. I can’t fault them. 😄”
