About Stringers Music:

Stringers of Edinburgh is one of Scotland’s longest established and most respected musical instrument dealers. We supply violins, violas, cellos and bows of all levels and offer the highest standard in repair and restoration. Stringers London opened in 2007 and over the past thirteen years has grown to become one of London's leading violin dealers. In both shops, all of our staff members are proficient string players, many are former or current teachers, and always happy to help and advise. All instruments are set up by our team of expert restorers in our on-site workshops and played and assessed by staff before going on sale.

“The staff at Stringers have been with both me and my three children with our first violins and cellos. Six years on and we visit as the children outgrow their instruments. The part exchange system for instruments has really helped with four of us! The staff are friendly, extremely knowledgeable, efficient and make sure that everything is as you need. A lovely company and worth the trek into the city centre.”

“I've made 3 visits over 3 months to accommodate the ambitions of my 7-year violinist. Not being a musician myself, I was impressed with the friendly, expert and completely unpatronising support provided by all members of staff. “Terrible customer service. We have been customers for 5 years buying three violins as my son grew. When we called to sell back our last violin they wouldn’t return our call as promised, and wouldn’t buy back the violin as before. We were offered no explanation and the staff clearly couldn’t be bothered to take the time. Very disappointed.”
