About Stringers Music:

Stringers of Edinburgh is one of Scotland’s longest established and most respected musical instrument dealers. We supply violins, violas, cellos and bows of all levels and offer the highest standard in repair and restoration. Stringers London opened in 2007 and over the past thirteen years has grown to become one of London's leading violin dealers. In both shops, all of our staff members are proficient string players, many are former or current teachers, and always happy to help and advise. All instruments are set up by our team of expert restorers in our on-site workshops and played and assessed by staff before going on sale.

“I'm a learner fiddle player and needed a new bow. After previous positive experiences with Stringers I ordered from them. I could have bought a little cheaper from Amazon but I knew from Stringers I would get a good, well-balanced bow that met my needs. The bow arrived, carefully packed, within 2 days. It's a huge improvement on what I had before, and makes my fledgling attempts sound much more resonant. I'm also feeling a greater connection with the strings. I was happy to pay a little extra to get the assurance that I would get a decent piece of equipment.”

“I’ve bought two cellos, a bow, a cello case, various strings and have used the repair shop for rehairing, repositioning the sound post and a general overhaul. The staff have always been brilliant. On the rare occasion things haven’t gone to plan they couldn’t be quicker to put it right. Yes, I love Stringers!”
