About Stringers Music:

Stringers of Edinburgh is one of Scotland’s longest established and most respected musical instrument dealers. We supply violins, violas, cellos and bows of all levels and offer the highest standard in repair and restoration. Stringers London opened in 2007 and over the past thirteen years has grown to become one of London's leading violin dealers. In both shops, all of our staff members are proficient string players, many are former or current teachers, and always happy to help and advise. All instruments are set up by our team of expert restorers in our on-site workshops and played and assessed by staff before going on sale.

“It was an excellent experience recently interacting with Stringers for the purchase of a new violin string. The member of staff (apologies I don't remember the name) I spoke to was very patient and kindly helped me navigate the website to find the right product. She was very considerate and thoughtful to learn of the urgency to get the string ordered and processed the request on priority. The product arrived in very good time and was the perfect fit for the violin. I have been really pleased about how smooth it was, as I was a bit nervous placing such an order for the first time. Great customer experience.”

“A fantastic shop for string players with very knowledgeable and helpful staff. Stringers provides for all levels of musician from beginner to professional. “I have made two purchases from Stringers recently, the second was after having been sent the wrong item on ebay. The prices were the best I could find online and the packaging and delivery were very good. I always avoid amazon and was pleased to use a company which is so obviously an independant- I received a nice message in with my purchase but can't do a shout-out below because I've forgotten the name, sorry! I would definitely recommend shopping online here.”

“Stringers were very helpful and accommodating while my son tried a selection of 3/4 violins. Having time and space to find the best tone and feel is important to him at this stage and particularly within this price range is essential from our point of view. Trying instruments on loan is also very useful. We are very happy with this new violin. As our son will need a full-size violin in a few years we would be happier with the price if the return value were higher.”
