“I ordered these not too long ago and I am very impressed. The razor handles themselves have a good, high-quality weight about them, and the razors are very sharp (so be careful) and give a very clean and effective shave. The shaving soap bar I was worried about it because soap bars don't usually agree with my skin, but it lathered up well and made my shaving experience complete!”

“AMAZING!!! I've gotten razor burn and constant irritation from every razor I've used, I finally gave in and got a safety razor and on a uni budget this was the best for me. I haven't had any irritation whatsoever! I couldn't be happier with this purchase and I'm constantly recommending this to my friends! So simple and easy, a bit of a learning curve but the few nicks are worth it!”

“Having used my razor for a couple of months, it is much nicer than my previous DE razor which a cheap off the shelf one that in all fairness had been abused. I have used it as both a wet and dry shave (in a rush) which it and the blades have handled perfectly. The stand is also very nice and helps keep it in god nick.”

Hi Peter, I wish you'd contacted us before posting a damning review of a product. We're a small business, so every review counts! You say yourself that you probably don't know how to use a safety razor and I'm wondering if it's set up correctly. You may have the bottom plate upside down. Please double check. The key to shaving with a safety razor is to start gentle, using slow and small strokes until you feel confident. Do not apply any pressure and let the the weight of the razor do the work. It's all about mastering the technique. People transitioning from multi-blade cartridge razors have this problem, as the techniques are so different. Cartridges pull and tug the hair, so pressure is applied to help the process. You don't do this with safety razors, as the blade is much sharper. To shave, moisten the shaving area, using a well lathered natural shaving soap, oil or gel if preferred. Hold the razor at a shallow angle to the skin. 45 degrees is advised. Do NOT apply pressure - hold the handle gently and let the weight of the razor head glide over the skin. Shave in the direction of hair growth to start with and then go against the grain once you are used to it. I hope this helps and you don't bin your razor. It's an amazing product when you learn how to use it. Take care, Dean
