Hi Peter, I wish you'd contacted us before posting a damning review of a product. We're a small business, so every review counts! You say yourself that you probably don't know how to use a safety razor and I'm wondering if it's set up correctly. You may have the bottom plate upside down. Please double check. The key to shaving with a safety razor is to start gentle, using slow and small strokes until you feel confident. Do not apply any pressure and let the the weight of the razor do the work. It's all about mastering the technique. People transitioning from multi-blade cartridge razors have this problem, as the techniques are so different. Cartridges pull and tug the hair, so pressure is applied to help the process. You don't do this with safety razors, as the blade is much sharper. To shave, moisten the shaving area, using a well lathered natural shaving soap, oil or gel if preferred. Hold the razor at a shallow angle to the skin. 45 degrees is advised. Do NOT apply pressure - hold the handle gently and let the weight of the razor head glide over the skin. Shave in the direction of hair growth to start with and then go against the grain once you are used to it. I hope this helps and you don't bin your razor. “Delivery time was brilliant. I had never used a safety razor before using my teal (gorgeous colour) razor I bought from shoreline. The quality of the razor is excellent. The weight of it makes it easy to glide over your skin without any pressure. I didn't experience any razor burn or cuts. I also bought a blades disoposable tin which is the perfect size for travel. I especially love the option of emptying the tin from the bottom. The price was more than reasonable and the handwritten note was a lovely addition. I have no complaints”

“I didn’t get on well with this razor at all, it rusted over within weeks and I find it doesn’t make a close shave at all. I think it’s more me and what I’m used to but I no longer use mine. They did try and help me, great customer service just personal preference in the end. Not what I hoped for at all.”

“I really love the idea of there being no wastage I know I will also be saving a lot of money on the long term. The razor itself is really sturdy and easy to hold. I’m still getting used to the razor as I keep getting little cuts but that’s not the fault of the razor. It just takes a little practice. I do feel like I get a better shave. The delivery and service is efficient and friendly. Only thing personally, wish the handle was a bit longer but it is fine for the majority. I have told a few people about this product and I am incredibly impressed”
