“I have been to quite a few funerals at Amber Valley, this being the first as a direct family member. We can't fault the place at all. It sits in beautiful surroundings and even on a dull day the place and the employees make you feel welcome and at ease on such a sad occasion. We love the new look sofa style seating although I think some older members of the congregation found them slightly difficult to get up from. The mood lighting, projected images, webcam facilities etc were a fabulous addition to my mum's funeral too. All in all, I think it is the nicest crematorium in the area and I can't thank everyone enough, including Gillotts Funeral Services and Diane Lightowler for everything you all did.”

“The chapel is a clean, attractive building, set in beautiful, well maintained grounds, with a number of ponds and water features. It was a pleasure to spend some time in the gardens, following the service.”

“What a beautiful place barnby moor is. The setting was idillic, quiet and serene, There was loads of parking for guests directly around the building and when we entered the attention to detail was perfect seeing my mums name in lights proudly shining above us all on the projection screen made my heart swell, the boxes of tissues provided in each isle came in handy, thoughtful touch I thought. I would have liked the curtains drawn around the coffin as we left but it was explained to me before the service that they were very noisy so we left them open, it didn’t spoil anything. I would highly recommend barnby moor”
