“Needed a new bespoke loft Hatch rather than try and patch up the existing non standard size unit. Having carefully checked and double checked the opening dimensions and deducted the recommended 5mm from each I ordered a standard white insulated unit with extra wide 50mm bezel. Unit arrived very well packed and fitted like a glove, and the extra width bezel covered up any old damage/decoration to the opennings edge. The only comment I would make is that installation would be easier if the hinge mechanism was of a design such that you could remove the loft hatch door from the frame, and thus offer up and fix the frame on its own.”

“The initial order had to be changed because the thick insulation might prevent successful installation. Jupiter blue Ltd were very co-operative and cancelled the delivery and the order was changed. The new loft hatch was delivered very quickly and fitted perfectly. Thanks.”

“The idea of a push up loft hatch gives a lot of freedom regarding the type of ladders which can then be used. Also the fibreproof insulation can be sealed with emulsion to prevent fraying then boxed over for protection. The underside of the push up hatch is best wallpapered with kitchen or bathroom type wallpaper. The hatch itself can be screwed to wooden baterns, then the baterns screwed to the access to the loft.”
