“Ordered a made to measure loft hatch, I am really pleased with the heavy duty nature of the hatch and lead time to delivery. Unfortunately the hatch seal was not fitted correctly meaning the hatch door would not fully close. removing the seal and refitting was not possible due to the really strong adhesive used. I contacted Jupiter blue and having sent them pictures of the problem they sent me a roll of seal material and a pack of wonderwipes to clean off the adhesive from the old seal. I was able to fit the new seal and install the loft hatch. When talking to Jupiter Blue I advised them that the door latch was not cut to the size of the frame and protuded about 6 mm over size - I was advised that this was how they made them and I should cut a slot into the loft joist to accomodate the latch protusion. This was not a major problem for me but I would have awarded 4 or even 5 stars if I could have fitted the hatch straight from the box.”
