“I recently reached out to the Criminal Injuries Helpline for assistance after being the victim of a crime, and I couldn't be more grateful for the support they provided. First and foremost, the helpline staff were incredibly empathetic and understanding of my situation. They listened attentively to my concerns and provided me with clear and concise information about my rights and options for seeking compensation. One thing that stood out to me was how accessible the helpline was. I was able to reach them easily via phone, and they promptly responded to my inquiry, which was a relief during such a stressful time. The guidance they offered was invaluable. They explained the process of applying for compensation through the criminal injuries compensation scheme in a way that was easy to understand, and they were patient in answering all of my questions. Moreover, the helpline didn't just stop at providing information about compensation. They also directed me to additional support services, including counseling and legal aid, which I found extremely helpful in coping with the aftermath of the crime. Overall, my experience with the Criminal Injuries Helpline was overwhelmingly positive.
