“Playing guitar for almost forty years, you try a lot of things along the way. Although I have a few favorite string choices, I do like to try new strings here and there and was very interested to try Charlie & John strings. I appreciate what they were trying to do, the attention they put into them, and it was great to see a new company that really believed in what they're doing.
I'm now on my third set and am really liking them more and more. I like how they're bright but not too shrill and overly bright like some strings. They sustain very well for the music I play and are a joy to bend and play on. I play many hours a day, both for my own practice, with bands, and for performances. These strings last quite a long time, and as long as my other favorites. I have no worries or concerns about them performing well and playing consistently when I'm gigging.
If you're looking for something new to try, or just want to support a small string company that really wants to make a great product, you should definitely try some of their strings! I think you'll find a new favorite!”

“I came across Charlie & Johns on Facebook. I’d just acquired my dream guitar, and although I’d never heard of them I liked their description that each string was hand-wound, so I decided to give them a try. Online ordering was simple & I ordered two sets of acoustic strings, one of 0.011’s (my usual acoustic gauge) & one of 0.012’s, but then realised on this guitar I should have ordered 0.012’s & 0.013’s.
I emailed to ask if they could amend the order manually & was delighted to receive an immediate reply saying, “No problem.” The next day I was mightily impressed when my revised order duly arrived all present & correct - thank you, Charlie & Johns, I’m extremely grateful!
