Thanks for your review Natalie - we're sorry you weren't satisfied with your purchase. We do offer handknit items if you are looking for a more premium knit jumper, but our worsted wool and merino wool aran knits would be a medium weight yarn, designed to be worn layered. The style of the sweater you purchased was designed as more of an all-season knit jumper designed for layering, but was made with a medium weight yarn, though we do offer other sweaters with a tighter knit gauge (more wool used in production of the garment). We are happy to assist you if you would like to return your unworn sweater and reorder a thicker knit, if preferred!
“I've been wanting a 100% wool sweater for a while and I am very happy with this one. It happened to arrive just in time for our yearly cold snap (I live in Texas, so it's a rare occurence) and I ended up wearing it for 5 days straight. Kept me very warm without having to wear so many layers, so it's earning it's keep already.”
“My shopping experience was good, easy website and checkout. The shipping was prompt and the tracking was very thorough.
The knitting on my wrap is beautiful and it seems really well made. The only problem is it is much too large for me! I usually wear between a Small and Medium depending on the style, and the wrap looked so fitted on the models that I chose a Medium. It is not fitted to my body at all and hangs awkwardly, falling off the shoulders. Unfortuately I can't really pay international shipping twice more for an exchange so I guess I'll keep it and perhaps try to alter it- move the buttons or something? Such a disappointment because I was looking forward to being wrapped up in this gorgeous wool!
I may shop Aran Mills again but probably for a blanket or something that doesn't depend upon size.”
“Worst shopping experience ever! Aran Woollen Mills sent the wrong sweater and then I had to return the wrong item and pay for the shipping cost. At the same time Aran woollen mills refused to send the correct item. Instead they say that I am responsible for the return. Even though I have sent the return with tracking. If they don’t receive the return, they won’t send anything to me. Now - one month from the order date - I have still not received the cardigan I ordered and paid for. The correspondence with the store is the most frustrating thing I have ever experienced! So don’t do the same mistake that I did - never, ever buy something from Aran Woollen Mills!”
Thanks for your review Sofia - your order was placed on Jan 10th and recieved on the 18th so when you reached out to us on the 20th over the weekend we did respond on our first business day back and were in correspondence with you regularly to determine the issue and create a new order for the replacement. We are very sorry for the mixup on one of your items - while we do check all garments before they go out, on rare occasions human errors can happen. In this case we made an exception to refund your shipping costs to return the incorrect item right away once you sent the receipt (prior to receiving the return from you), and also offered an advance refund of the amount needed for shipping if you were able to provide a quote from a courier in your country, and we sent out your replacement yesterday with tracking and at no additional cost to you as well, which was just over a week from when you first reached out and prior to us recieving the returned item. We want to be sure that our customers are well taken care of and though we did all that we could as a small business to make this right for you, we are sorry that you feel that our services were not to your standards. Regardless, we do hope you enjoy your jumpers and thank you for supporting our small Irish business.
