“Booking refused 5 weeks in advance due to “lack of drivers” - crappy business do not use”

“Service and communication from home to Luton, exemplary. Upon landing, no text informing me of Driver or reg plate or meeting point. No driver was there despite my confirmation the day before including the flight number and despite my having informed them of slight flight delay and receiving a reply reassuring me that they were tracking the flight. They weren’t. I was told driver would arrive in 20 minutes and would phone to meet me at the mid term car park. Why wasn’t the car there before my flight landed? The mid term car park is a half mile from the terminal and why should I be made to walk it at that time of a cold night. It would have cost the driver an extra £5 to collect me from the Express Drop Off point that is right outside the terminal and I would have gladly paid it. The worst taxi transfer service. Call handler was not apologetic and patronisingly instructed me to return to terminal, get a coffee (at 00:30!) and wait for the driver. That’s not the service I paid for.”

“We returned from our holiday to a late email advising us that the minibus had broken down, and that you would send two large vehicles who would both be waiting for us. Had a phone call to ask where we were, but we were stuck at passport control as there was only 2 members of staff on. After 30 minutes I called back to say we were through and on our way. We finally found the man and vehicle in departures. There was only one vehicle and he kept telling me that the other was 2 minutes away. We loaded the first vehicle up and asked him to go,as we had dogs to get from the kennels. He didn't leave and kept saying the other vehicle was coming. Whilst waiting for the second vehicle the driver apologised that the minibuses were in Scotland and Bristow - not broken down like we were advised. After 10/15 minutes the other vehicle arrived and the first finally left. The second vehicle had a strong smell of cigarette smoke. (We spotted a cigarette packet in the car). The man drove away but then went on his phone with no hands free - in a different language. We asked him to get off his phone, but he ignored us. We soon realised that he was asking someone about the postcode of our destination. We asked him again to get off his phone as we were on a motorway and we knew the address. He then apologised and explained to us he was doing a favour to a friend who'd just called him up and told him to get to Heathrow T5 ASAP. He said he didn't work for the company and didn't even know the company name. All of this was on top of our departure vehicle arriving over 10 minutes late. I feel this is all very unprofessional and not what we booked and paid for. We purposely booked a large minibus so we would all have room, and could all travel together. To send us a vehicle and man that doesn't work for you, who feels it's acceptable to drive whilst using his phone and typing on a satnav on a motorway is totally unacceptable. Was we even insured to be in his vehicle? Is he even a licensed taxi as he had no tags on the vehicle?”
