Hi I'm being using the Brompton Pro since the beginning in 2020. Everything went well have good support but recently I request for a new pedal sensor for the Brompton back in May 2023 and already paid the product replacement but nothing arrived and even contacting customer service and been promised many times. Yet its nothing. I know the launch the new pack now and for us that been using the old big battery still dont get enough support. Really disappointed. The thing is I love the product and the best conversion for a brompton but please dont ignore your loyal customer thaat are with you since the beginning.

It did not fit on any of my "high end" mountain bikes. Once I bought one that the Swycth system fits, the installation was fast and easy. I haven't properly road tested it yet but so far so good. I have no complaints.

It took nearly one year get the kit that to in parts. Product is okay and easy to install, but the company customer service is terrible. The biggest issue for me is the battery doesn’t last ling - barely get 6-8km on full charge. The battery level indicator on display and the battery itself doesn’t match . The display level fluctuates as you ride making it very unreliable.

Had the kit for over a year, found it quite easy to install except for the pedal sensor which i had to modify slightly to suit. My kit is the earlier one which has the bulky battery and i found this has a noticeable effect on the steering as it's a heavy unit. I usually have it on setting 4/5 which suits me as i only cover short journeys. I've not had to use customer service yet as the unit has been reliable so far, on pricing i paid around £550 as i had ordered a black wheel to match my bike, however the wheel had black spokes and silver sidewalls !, overall i am happy with my purchase, the only reservation being the weight of the battery on the handlebars which affects the steering. Swytch should consider another place for the battery mount.

Had a Gen 2 for a long time now.Had no problems. It’s been great addition to the cycle. As I like long rides I added another battery to make the range more acceptable and so far all ok. Fingers crossed!

A great innovative product with friendly support. I have had a few problems but the Swytch team went well beyond what I would have expected to ensure my electric conversion is up and running. Highly recommended.

The idea of Swytch is excellent and it definitely works. I have had it for ten months now. It is relatively easy to fit and is a simple plug in the various components and play. There are only two reasons that I cannot give it five stars. One: is that the battery life (I have the large battery) is not as quoted. Granted it is hilly where I live but the life is much less than you would expect, even keeping the power level to three or four (out of five). It's been tight some days! Two: the battery display lights on the battery pack and those on the control unit never match. This means that you are always unsure of exactly how much battery life you actually have left. So, yes, do buy a Swytch kit but I would say only get the larger battery. Enjoy!

Good support, responsive. The solution provided and parts fixed my issue with the engine.

I'm not sure which iteration I have, but it's the bulky one in the black fabric case before the slim flat type. It's the first pedal assist electric bike kit I've had, and first impressions are great. The power take-up is really strong and even on its lowest setting, it provides a noticeable amount of power to the ride. On its highest setting, it will make cycling up steep hills achievable where otherwise at my age, I would probably have to walk with the bike Instead. There are some minus points too that need considering. 1) its important to aim at the lowest effective setting to prolong the battery. At full power, it won't last very long at all. 2) Adjusting the power on the move can be a bit tricky at times, so it's worth buying the handle bar accessory if you can. 3) Importantly, in hot sunshine the battery can shut down to protect itself leaving you with no power assist. Clearly, the black battery container absorbs heat very efficiently and the batteries create their own heat even when working moderately hard. This causes the system to shut down. Once it's cooled, it fine, but it can be a problem if you have to rely heavily on the battery to get you home. My solution is to unzip the case lid and this seems to work well enough, but it has to be remembered that it should be zipped up in any kind of wet environment. Overall, I'm happy with this system. I would of course like a bigger or better battery to extend the range, but that has to be balanced against weight (I chose the smaller battery on offer as I wasn't sure if the system was worth having so didn't want to spend the extra at that time to get the slightly bigger battery, given its cost). I'm now thinking of getting a more powerful system to get the extra range.

The set up was quite straightforward except for the pedal sensor. Also I had to remove the bike stand and I am having difficulty finding a centre stand that doesn't interfere with the pedal sensor support arm.

I would have given 5 stars if it wasn't so hard to get answers to my questions. Either you answered with some random answer or something else which wasn't what I asked for and I kept asking the same request. I love the Swytch bike concept, it makes riding my favourite bike heaps better and more fun especially up hills. I'm approaching 70 years young and have a real love for cycling again. I even bought a second swytch bike kit so now enjoy both bikes. One on the road and the other off road.

Pretty easy to install, although the throttle wasn’t and I still haven’t put it on because I need to take off a really well installed grip. I really like how the battery works and makes my rides more enjoyable, especially that one big hill! I do wish the battery indicator lights were more useful and that I could switch to MPH on the speedo.

Love my swytch kit. Have experienced some problems with loss of power and having to keep adjusting the sensor on the pedals. However it has made my cycling experience so much more enjoyable

This is our second SWYTCH kit, the first being the first available. We found the kit fairly easy to install with the pedal sensor being the most difficult part because the kit doesn't seem to be made for newer bikes. If your bike has wide tubes, or limited space at the pedal crank, expect to make modifications to the kit to get it to fit. Another thing to keep in mind, if you do convert a newer bike, the bike manufacture's warranty will be voided, even though the kit does not require any modifications to the bike's frame. If you have a warranty issue, take the kit off and put the original front wheel back on before taking it back to the retailer. Our largest complaint is the base display used on the newer kit. The base display indicates a battery level different than shown on the battery power pack itself. When we asked Switch about this, they indicated it was an intentional design to help manage the battery usage. The problem is, I would rather manage the battery's usage myself based on the ride I'm on. The older kit version doesn't use this base display, allowing us to manage the battery usage ourselves. The new kit may shut off the power even when the battery power pack itself shows there are 2 to 3 bars of power left. When this occurs while on an uphill, you are out of luck unless you turn off the base display for a minute or two. When you turn the base display back on, it will show you have power again, but only for a limited time before you have to repeat the process. The response from SWYTCH was "It's important to note that the power level indicators on the power pack and the base display may not always match exactly due to varying power demands. The base display's behaviour, including blinking and temporarily showing a lower power level, is designed to optimize power distribution during intense usage. After a brief rest or downhill stretch, the display might return to a higher power level. This behaviour is intentional and ensures efficient power usage and performance. While the indicators might differ, it doesn't necessarily mean the battery is empty; rather, it reflects real-time power demands." Overall, the kit makes riding bikes more fun by flattening out the hills or making it easier to ride against the wind. You still can get a pretty good workout (especially when the base display shuts the power off) because you have to keep peddling. Also, remember this is a conversion kit so it won't be as clean looking as a regular e-bike. The plastic zip ties and extra cable length makes it look like an conversion kit, but that doesn't distract from the fun in riding a converted e-bike.
