“Best quality conversion kit I've bought. I am a serial eBike converter and typically use eBay/Amazon kits which are good value but quite a lot of hassle to source and install. In contrast Swytch have really thought of everything, down to the most minute details, and all those small bits of engineering do all come together to make it as simple to install as they claim... I was very impressed with how easy they have made it and I was already riding around on my latest Giant eBike conversion in the time it usually took to install just one bit of a cheaper kit.”

“Impressive tech and surprising delivery! Firstly the delivery, it was surprising because it arrived out of no where EARLY and I wasn't in to receive it , better tracking would have been nice and I could have avoided a few days of hassle but it was a few weeks earlier than expected so overall I was happy. Then the kit itself, I struggle a bit with bike maintenance like flat tyres, but I actually managed it OK, I got my partner to help with the tyre bit as it hurts the fingers getting the tyre off but apart from that I managed the rest myself. And the boost and the feeling when you start riding is just wow so I would absolutely recommend this!”

I just had a problem solved almost instantly by the excellent team at swytch, they asked me would I be happy to comment on the service full disclosure, but I am more than happy to Firstly the delivery updates were very helpful. I also ordered a VanMoof and their updates were few and far between and it arrived 5 months late Swytch was almost on time and I was kept updated it would be a few weeks late The system itself feels as powerful as my other ebike the vanmoof but it is significantly lighter. I understand the firm is quite young and so the technology is very impressive well done! Can I invest? If there was an opportunity to invest and support this team I would take it.”

Fitting to the Pashley took some doing, mainly because of the nature of the Pashley. However, so worth doing to help with hills and the excessive weight of the Pashley. She was so pleased with it but now has battery envy. We wish we had ordered the extra set up when we had the chance! I had to give in and swytch my bike just to keep up with her. Its great and so unobtrusive. I keep it set on low power and then I have to do some work to get up hills and I feel it is still benefiting my fitness. How do we go about ordering a new battery set up for my wife’s bike?”

“Sent me the wrong size everything for my bike, customer service just stop responding. Also waited 8months for it when they said it would be under 6months. All in all the worst experience I have ever received as a consumer, if possible I would give zero stars, terrible company don’t waste your money with them.”

“I owned Swytch kit for just over 2 years now. My honest advise is do not buy Swytch. Go elsewhere. My purchase (The Brompton Conversion Kit) developed problems after 4 months of use. It took 6 months to address those problems and I did not get any warranty extension, despite not being able to use the product for more than half of the warranty time. 4 months after the repair I got the same issue. Swytch told me that my Warranty has expired and refused to repair under Warranty. Long wait again and only after legal actions taken I received battery replacement, which failed after 5 months!!! Now I am waiting for over two months to receive the controller, which was under 6 months extended warranty. APPALLING!!! Why 2 stars – well, if the kit works it is great to ride. However, these kits are made in China and there is probably no quality control check at all. So, if you are lucky and it works, then it is great addition to your bike at reasonable cost. Otherwise, waste of money and time. I think SwytchBike also suffers from suppliers side which is down to either Brexit issues or poor choice of supplier (probably in attempt to cut the costs). You can see that from number of complaints about late deliveries (and I am not saying late by few days, or even weeks… it is months). It looks th SwytchBike ey do not hold much (if any) spare parts, so if you (like myself) have issue with one component you are stuck for months with unusable kit. I have been to their office/shop – it is a small warehouse, barely 50-80 sq meters. Customer service would definitely be 1 star, or even zero star. SwytchBike actually lies to us – on the website they state ReviewsIO as 4.8 stars. It is actually 2.9 stars, and going down. TrustPilot is 3.2 and going down. From reviews you will see that SwytchBike lie about delivery and repairs time. They lied to me so many times. Judging by my experience, my advice would be to stay clear from Swytch and look elsewhere for electric bike solution. I do not know how TrustPilot works, but I would be happy to be contacted and exchange experiences and give more advises.”

“What went wrong? Everything! Ordered kit last May 2022, told it would arrive in early September, but it didn't arrive until late February 2023, and then it was missing about 6 things for me to fit my bike. Finally got the missing parts, only to discover the bolt that runs through the hub is too big in diameter to slide into my forks. Communication has been beyond frustrating and now after reading others comments about a refund I suspect I will have just made a nice donation to this "company." They are clearly too small to handle the volume of orders and should just shut off the ability to order new kits while they process their current orders. What a horrible experience this has been, and we are still not done with dealing with them. Run, don't walk, away from this place.”

“I have ordered my Brompton Swytch kit in September 2022 and it was then promised for March 2023. We are now May 10, 2023 and despite weeks of e-mailing to Customer Service, I still have no idea of when my kit will be delivered. This is extremely poor Customer Service!”

“Sorry I can't give them less than one star. I ordered in September: when the kit finally arrived in March it was minus a "dongle" less than 10 cm long which customer services accused me of losing. I didn't, it simply wasn't included. Since then I have been told I will receive the missing part within 2 weeks. That was over a month ago. Trying to contact customer services is like shouting down a well.”

One small drawback is that the plastic sensor fittings are quite thin and easily damaged, so that after a few years mine is kept in place with sellotape (!). But Swytch have kindly offered to replace it for free, so no problems there.”

“Having fitted the Swytch kit 3 months ago I can highly recommend it. It has encouraged me to use my bike when I wouldn't have considered it previously. The larger battery seems to to be ideal for my use. The installation was easy having watched a couple of YouTube videos showing the process. The videos highlight some of the optional installation items that are in the manual, but as I usually find watching is easier than reading :) Build quality of the components seems good and the connectors seal well against our lovely weather. Overall, I am very pleased with my upgraded bike, I just need to order another one so my wife doesn't get left behind when out riding.”
