I've recently purchased the Go+ version of the Swytch system and it's been a great help. Living in a rather hilly area, I was finding that the uphill gradients were killing both my knees and lungs. Considering I am an overweight 56 year old who hasn't ridden a bike properly for over forty years, I wasn't too surprised to see I needed some assistance. I had been following the Swytch guys for a while, so when I purchased my hybrid bike, I always kept them in mind if I needed to convert. The conversion was a simple enough process, but I soon realised before fitting, I wouldn't need the hydraulic brake sensors as the motor isn't so intrusive that I had any reservations about it causing any issues whilst out. There was a slight mix-ip in communications to receive my refund, but it was sorted eventually. After multiple rides, the GO+ battery seems to sit nicely in the predicted range too, will have to see how it does in the cooler months though, but very happy with it at the moment. I'm still waiting for the locking frame adapter to arrive, but all-in-all it's a great product that fits my needs perfectly.

I love it now it's fitted but it didn't come with a pedal sensor. And it's still hard work up hills.

Took advantage of ordering in advance with discount, delivery was 6-8 weeks longer than hoped but after 9-months was almost academic. Go Kit appears well made aside from excess wiring as commented by others - had to use 10 cable ties which incidentally weren’t included in kit as indicated. Installation was reasonably straightforward, (I’m not a bike mechanic), only issue was I chose integrated sensor which required crank removal tool which I didn’t possess so had unexpected trip to local bike shop which cost me £10. Don’t remember this being mentioned when ordering but that was long time ago! Only had couple rides and power boost is really useful - can’t comment on range yet but hoping this will be beneficial for a 62-yr old!

I absolutely love my swytch bike conversion. I’m 67 and had stopped riding my road bike. Now I can join others on a group ride knowing I can keep up.

Does the job well, now that we have upgraded to a bigger battery. Had a few problems with the set up and things not working properly but the were sorted out via on line help and the d’espace of replacement parts.

Unfortunately the wording “universal “ kit was more of a challenge to fit, combined with the fact that I had to reduce the actual wheel from size (26 inch) to 16 inch in order to frig the system. Also had issues fitting magnetic wheel, ended up unable to use spacers provided with the kit. That said got round the issue using silicon. Kit is now up and running, having previously upgraded to old Bromptons without issues I thought upgrading full size bike would be the same!!! Support teams ok, only issue was around response times Typically NBD.

Excellent customer service Very impressive Swytch Go++ kit Good mileage Very easy to install Disappointing that the off road Throttle function is now walking speed only, not much help for disabled cyclists who struggle to push start. The regulations need to be revised for disabled riders Apart from that, another winner from the Swytch team

Functionally my Swytch is as expected, and a game changer that has got me back on my cycle after some health problems. I haven't yet evaluated the range capability fully, or the difference made by altering the power settings. My concerns are that the Go battery is vulnerable if left on the bike and heavy to carry if taken off. A secure attachment would be a big improvement. I have not found a tidy way to finish the wiring and dislike the redundant terminals, and everybody's problem with Swytch is the ridiculously long waiting time after making payment in full, extended for mine by at least a month. Communication about delivery was intermittent and vague. Did dispatch mean from somewhere in China or somewhere in the UK.

I purchased the GO+ system for my Marin Hawk Hill MTB (26" Wheel) last September for a June delivery to maximise the savings being offered. Ordering was pretty easy and the 1 question I had was quickly answered by the sales team. Overall the communications were good throughout the delivery process, only falling over slightly at the last moment when the delivery date was pushed back to July at the last moment, with no real explanation. On delivery the installation was fairly straightforward and being a bike mechanic I had all the necessary tools and experience of get rounds to make things work. I did experience a few issues: Problem 1... I'd purchased the thumb trigger power assist but I simply couldn't fit it around the Shimano brake and Gear Change levers to make it user friendly and decided finally to throw it away. Problem 2... The magnetic sensor disc central multipurpose fitting system really didn't fit the exposed bottom bracket (BB) of my Marin and ended up buckling/breaking in the central area; making it uneven and unstable. I solved this by purchasing a large ID-OD washer that fitted snugly on the BB and glued the Sensor disc to it and slid it on. Problem 3... I ended up with lots of surplus cable. I've temporarily tie wrapped it all to the frame, but it isn't pretty. Problem 4... I was left with 1 exposed terminal, which would otherwise go to a brake lever sensor, which I am concerned could cause issues in the wet. I sent a request for information/help weeks ago but haven't heard back. Surely there should be a blanking cap? I must say that I am disappointed by the lack of response, which was made amusing by the fact that I ten received a post communications feedback request! Having now fitted the kit and given it a test ride today (14 miles in 50 minutes on hilly terrain and off-road) I am very happy with the boost that it has given me. I have a long-term knee issue which isn't going away, so the benefit for me is that having this kit fitted is enabling me to get back out there on the hills and take on the challenges that I was used to doing before. I love cycling both on the roadbikes and MTBs and am excited about being empowered once more to get out there regularly. I am seriously considering buying another Swytch Kit for one of my road bikes as a result of my recent experience. What would I change? 1. I wouldn't accept being limited to wheel colour in future; I really wanted black to match my set, but wasn't given the option before. 2. I will probably shorten the cables to get rid of the excess. 3. I may well try and remount the battery further aft as I have nowhere to mount a water bottle now. But that will require a longer wiring harness. Having ridden the bike today for 14 miles, I used 3 bars out of 5 of power. This means I am only likely to get 25 miles out of this battery. Admittedly I was playing with the power settings and seeing what the kit could offer at max assist settings at times, but I was hoping for a little more. I think I may need to invest in a bigger battery! Also, the additional weight/power around the front axle, rather than the rear, made the bike feel very different from before. This wasn't an issue today but may prove to be a factor in the gravel/muddy/wet in future. Would I bother with a booster throttle again? Probably not. If you want a bit more assist then select + on the display and the system will deliver and if you don't need so much press -. It's just a little less clutter! Despite the teething issues in fitting this Swytch GO+ I think it is a good system if you want to convert a spare bike into a power assisted machine at a reasonable price. I would probably give it 3.5 stars based on my experiences so far. You may need to make adjustments and it may not fit quite as smoothly as advertised, but most issues are not insurmountable and therefore I am happy to recommend it as a concept.

This was my upgrade battery to the Goplus battery having previously had the AirMax battery. The battery is better from a capacity point of view, but they have altered the control software on this unit. It's no where as responsive and smooth as the original Airmax was. If you have never had the previous hardware you probably wouldn't know and think it's great. I have been riding my previous swytch conversion for a number of years so can feel the differences. It's typical of a company tweaking and messing with stuff, probably in a bid to maximise profits at the customers expense. I will adapt but will never be 100% happy with this. 3 Stars for the above mentioned, plus late delivery, 6 months waiting time when you pre order and emails near delivery date telling you to hang on longer, when I can buy from amazon with a week's delivery. Again money rules, the pre order saves you some money, but customer service goes out the window once they have your cash.

Good customer service, they kept in touch regarding my order, I ordered it for a later in the year delivery to keep costs lower. It's enabled me to get back on my bike, I love it. The one thing I found hard was getting the serial number off the battery pack as it under the strapping, somewhere more accessible would have been better.

I had pre-ordered and paid for my Swytch Go kit ages ago with an expected delivery in May/June. In June I got an email to say there was a slight delay and in the end I received my kit on 8th July, exactly 7 months after I received the email confirming my order was complete. That long wait was the price I had to pay to get the Swytch Go at the cheapest possible price. I am not sure that Swytch can continue to operate in that way in the future as there are now other viable options for those who wouldn't be prepared to wait so long. Having received the kit I was disappointed to find that there was no printed instruction manual so I had to go online to get the full instruction manual - I would have much preferred to have a printed booklet in my hand. I knew that the tricky part of assembly would probably be fitting the pedal sensor and so it proved to be, although I did manage to get it done after trying a few different positions for the actual sensor. Once I had completed assembly I checked all was working correctly before tidying up the cables and using hte cable ties to fix everything in place. Initially I didn't have the LED Display attached to my handlebars as the handlebars were too thick for the attachment. I have since got a handlebar extension where the display is now mounted. The cycling experience is great and my average speed as shown by Strava has mysteriously increased! The real benefit is on steeper or longer hills which are now made much easier. I recently did a 40 mile cycle and just before the end of that the battery was exhausted (though i wasn't!). If I was aiming for a longer cycle I might do the first 10 or 20 miles without turning the battery on just so that I would be sure of the battery assistance at the end when I would be tiring. But the kit does make the bike considerably heavier so riding without the e-assistance is harder work than just riding without the kit woud have been. Overall I am pleased with my purchase and would recommend others to consider it as opposed to just buying a complete new e-bike.

I loved my Gen 2 set up on my Brompton and decided to upgrade to the Air Max. Very speedy delivery (to France). My slight issue however is with the positioning as, if facing inwards I hit my knees on the battery. If facing out, the bike folds, with an additional purchase of the 'long' peg, but then it won't fit into its bag, or more importantly, the footwell of my vehicle. Grrr.... I bought an extension bar, still hit my knees (position in), still won't fold neat enough (position out). Bought a 'M bar', only catch my knees when turning (if I forget to be in lady-like) (position in), and with Gen 2 peg back in situ, will fold and fit inside its carry bag. I've not tried fitting it in the car footwell as for now I'm happy. The ride ..... outstanding, love it.

This is my third conversion and very pleased with this new battery shape and positioning (Go). The bike is steadier and now remains standing with the battery attached. Maximum speed is regulated at 25kph which is disappointing if you want to go off road. Excess cable ends need capping off if the caps exist? All in all though great value for money and I would recommend Swytch to anyone.

Ordered a Swytch Go with the middle-sized battery pack. Delivery should have been June, but it was a month late. The kit was fairly easy to install. Only 5 rides with it so far, but it is easily giving 20+ miles, moslty on 1 or 2 out of the 5 power levels, and the battery still shows 2-3 bars out of 5. I'm quite a fit rider so I do notice the drag when trying to get past the top speed. It would be nice if there was a clutch to help remove this. I suspect in reality the battery will probably give the quoted 30 miles range, but I'm sure the last 2-3 bars will drop off at a faster rate. The wheel seems well-made, but I wouldn't want to use it on anything more off-road than a gravel path. It would have been nice to have the option of a black rim/spokes, and I would have paid an extra £20 for such an option. I hope the kit will give me 2 years service (2-4 20mile rides a week). If it lasts less than that, then I'll try a full e-bike next time.

After a 7 month wait I was delighted with the simple and effective functioning of the converted bike. I'm still trying to determine the exact range of a charge so the jury is still out on that. 29 km after full charge the indicator is down from 5 to 2 bars.

Very happy that you came up with a unit that has adaptability to many add ons that one may wish to add on at any later date. My thumb throttle adapter was easy to install and just had to plug it to its color matched adapter plug inns.
