“My Swytch conversion was on a Specialized hybrid bike and transformed it from an already quite light recreational bike into a very usable versatile e-bike. The conversion was reasonably straight forward but some mechanic skills are required however once completed it works straight away and setup was easy.”

“It was easy to install. My husband did it. It makes the real hilly segments of our rides a lot easier. I turn it off and on during my ride so I can get some exercise that is not assisted!! Great customer service is also a big plus!!”

“I have been struggling with my health. Adding the swytch battery to my bike has meant I can get out a bit more beyond a bus route. After the initial set up, it’s straightforward to use & easy to handle. So far so good 😊”

“It has (genuinely) changed my life. I LOVE cycling and when we had a baby I was keen to keep doing it. My girlfriend had an old heavy ridgeback and so converted it to a swytch and put our son’s bike seat on it. Now I use it genuinely every day - he’s only 1 but we go everywhere on it and the adventures we have on our bike are some of my most treasured memories already.”

“Wonder people at Swytch. They advertise an e-bike conversion kit and that is exactly what I received. The hub and wheel were of very good quality, the associated connections and OLED was perfect. My wife stole my bike as soon as I let her ride it!!!! Great team at Swytch.”

“This kit works well on a step through beach cruiser bike. I little hard to fit on the round crank arms but still works well. My only complaint with Swytch is that I ordered my 2 kits in May of 2023 and did not receive all my parts and then received the wrong parts and the customer service is super slow so I was finally able to ride my bike 11 months from the date I ordered it. I was told I would have my complete kit in August of 2023 but that was postponed several times.”

“I'm happy about how good is the kit, I ride my bike more often than before, leaving my car parked, and the kit is quite easy to mount, I did it myself. however, there are some cons: 1) I feel more drag as expected, about 20% of my power goes to win the drag when the engine's power is off. Feels awful to ride when the battery is down. 2) The battery range is also lower than expected, with the correct setting and use with level 1. I reach about 9 km with the small kit and 21km with the big one 3) the second kit came with the wrong wheel size, very slow, and disappointing customer care support”

“This has totally changed my life!!!!! Much quicker and easier on hills-if I fancy a challenge I turn it off but if I’m tired and want to get home I use it to boost my speed.”

“Awful experience. Swytch claimed their system fits 99% of bikes but clearly didn’t apply this to mountain bikes, despite selling them as compatible with mtb. We were told it was compatible with our Rockshox suspension forks but when it arrived, we couldn’t fit the axle. Transpires the Swytch wheel axle is 10mm which is hardly found on any mtb made in the last 20+ years. So Swytch told us to file down their wheel axle to fit the 9mm standard drop-out on our Rockshox forks. We did that but then found that the flared nuts got stuck between the drop-out and the stanchion outer. Not wanting to have to then make modifications to the flared bolts (and don’t have the tools to do it), we requested a return. Initially Swytch wanted to charge us to return but eventually accepted fault and refunded the full amount. Very disappointed with the whole process. They seemed oblivious / ignorant to the fact that their system is not even 10% compatible sigh modern mtbs. Added to that, they use old fashioned nuts and bolts and not quick release which is also what is found on the majority of mountain bikes made since the 1990s. The idea is good but Swytch need to do proper homework and make sure their wheels, hubs and axles are quick release and fully compatible with all mountain bike front suspension forks, before making such bold claims about 99% compatibility. And not fobbing off customers at the sales point saying they are, or expecting customers to modify their wheels. Added to that, we pre-ordered and it still took four months to deliver.”

“I bought this for my wife's hybrid bike. The assembly instructions were good but care was needed and the connectors were tight. Fitting the pedal sensor disc and pickup was fiddly and required care. Fitting the battery cradle and power controller to the straight handlebars was challenging due to tight space and obstruction by brake cables and handlebar stem clamp. Once fitted the kit worked very well and was easy to control. On moderately hilly terrain only the lowest power setting, or the next one, were perfectly adequate. Its hill climbing capability is outstanding. The (large) battery is adequate for 5 hours continuous cycling on moderately rolling terrain, and after a rest the battery regains some of its indicated charge. I did wonder whether we should have bought the additional kit to cut the motor power when the brakes are applied, but in practise all that is required is to stop pedalling and the very short delay before the power is cut is not a problem. I just hope that the power cable is well sealed where it enters the hub, as this looks like a possible point of vulnerability in very wet conditions.”
