I purchased the Swytch Eco kit for my Xootr Swift bike in May, 2020. After all my research, I was prepared for a long wait. I was pleasantly surprised when I received the kit in mid-November just 6 months after ordering. The install was as described on their website and went very smoothly. My experience with Swytch has been exceptionally good. Their customer service has been responsive and my problems resolved promptly. I would recommend the kit to anyone that wanted to make their bike electric.

I really appreciate my Swytch kit. It was so easy to setup and it has been a joy to ride again. In the area I live now it has many hills. So with the Swytch system I am able to ride up them with a lot less effort. I do not have to be a professional cyclist. The design and construction of the components are of very good quality. I recommend for anyone that wants to keep their favorite bike. I have a great bike so now it just makes it even better. For anyone considering to purchase a kit please understand you will not regret it. Thank you Swytch for a great product.

I was one of the first bakers (October 2019), as I knew it was THE kit for my bike. Delivery took some extra time in this uncertaing COVID period, however I got hands up from the Switch team quite often, I never felt alone abandoned. I really like the high torque and the compact size of the kit and I wanted to keep the installation as minimal as possible. Thus I also only installed the throttle controller (no PAS) so in the end I have a very efficent micro motor bike!

I've had a Swytch Kit on my Brompton since February 2019 and, having ridden thousands of miles with it, I have to say I love it! The latest Pro power pack is a significant improvement over the original as it's much lighter but still gives reasonable range. The kit truly transforms the bike and I can thoroughly recommend it.

So much fun to roll up hills with my turbo-charged Brompton since it got Swytched! It’s like having a gentle push from behind. The kit was fairly easy to install but I did get a final inspection from a local bike mechanic to make sure. It took a long time to arrive to my American door (no surprise right now) however it was worth the wait. And after reading the instructions I now spell tire the English way as “tyre.”

Purchased the original Swytch kit which worked perfectly on my 30 year old bike. Upgraded to the smaller battery and find it works with the old setup, so now the two batteries can make for a longer range when carried together.

Very easy to adapt this kit to your bike with just a few simple tools. Just watch the video before you embark on it and it should go fairly smooth. Bring a flat file along to file down the axle on the wheel (not the drop outs) to help fitting the wheel. This should be your first step to avoid frustration later. This is my second kit and after a few bike swaps I can do a complete install in about 20 mins .

Brilliant! Fitted it to my old Mercian classic steel bike. We live in Lot-et-Garonne, SW France. Quite hilly. I just use the lowest setting on the larger climbs and easily manage a 70 km trip with 1000m of ascent on one charge. Just the job for a 70 year old on Beta blockers. ☺️ Paul

Crowdfunded kit which took its time to come, but there were loads of encouraging emails sharing the progress to delivery. Installation took about two hours, requiring only basic mechanical skill, no special tools and no special bike knowledge. Surprisingly powerful when boosting my old single-speed Dawes Galaxy. I'n now generally using it on power setting 1 or 2 with recourse to 5 on big hills. I'm very well pleased with the build quality and performance of the kit. I recommended Swytch as a low-cost entry for anyone intrigued by the promise of e-bikes.

I'm very happy with my Swytch Eco kit, a 28-inch Eco kit, which I've fitted to my trusty Saracen Skyline touring bike (with drop handlebars replaced by raised bars). Fitting was simple, with no hitches. I ordered my kit with no tyre on the wheel, as I've go plenty of experience with fixing punctures, and with no noticeable drag from the motor when it's turned off, I don't envisage wanting to swap in my old wheel at any time. I don't feel much difference between the power levels - maybe a bit faster on climbs at level 5, but I keep it on level 3 to conserve the battery. On a range test, I went for a 24-mile round trip without running out of charge, and the 2 hours was just about my comfortable limit anyway, so that's plenty for me. I ordered the kit expecting to use it mostly for my daily cycle commute, so save the wear and tear on my aging joints (I'm pushing 60), but as I'm working at home during the lockdown, I've been using it for evening and weekend exercise / leisure runs. I find the assistance is responsive. It feels like a friendly gentle push like a parent might give a child learning to cycle - very comforting. My exercise / leisure rides are now further / faster, therefore more interesting, and I still get plenty of pleasant exercise without getting exhausted. I do get a bit of a guilty feeling cruising past some younger unassisted cyclists, but I guess I'll have to get used to that! Only a couple of minor quibbles to mention - I've had to be creative about finding a place to mount my front light, now that its place on the handlebars is now taken by the power pack. The belt-loop things on top of the pack just weren't up to the job. The unused connectors from the power pack (I think for thumb throttle & brake sensor) did not have covers supplied, so I've wrapped them with gaffer/duct tape for wet weather protection. In summary, the Swytch Eco has been a great success, and I'm looking forward to commuting with it when office working returns. I posted a speeded-up video of a trip around my area (NW Edinburgh) on YouTube, which I took last week with my phone tied to my chest. Not perfect (a bit of shake on bumpy sections) and not quite horizontal, but still quite a fun watch: https://youtu.be/LGtVEiKmshs

Transformed an old mountain bike that was heavy and only used occasionally into a great commute ride. It's like having your own personal tail wind and puts a smile on my face every time I use it, which is now often.

Great piece of equipment - easy to assemble to the bike and works excellently. One tiny issue (the wheel was ~15mm smaller in diameter than the one it replaced [universal kit] and the tyre doesn't fit as well when changed over) .

Absolutely brilliant upgrade to my wife’s hybrid. Took a bit of “fettling” (file and angle grinder!) of the front forks to get the spindle of the wheel to fit, but everything else was easy. Some progress photos uploaded

After a longer-than-expected wait (COVID) between my Indiegogo support and delivery of my Pro kit, I am very happy with how it transformed my daily and trusted bicycle. My main motivation was to upgrade my now 5 yr old bicycle which I specced with a single gear hub. It's now ready for more years of carrying kids, groceries and myself around. Installing the kit was a couple hour job, changing the tyre was the most challenging part (that says a lot about the ease of the rest of the steps). And I love the fact that I hardly notice the kit is there when I choose not to use it (and leave the chunky battery home). Owned it for 2 months, used it for about 100 miles.

Great ebike conversion kit. Now I can leave my car for commuting, with the actual 50km range. Installation was really plug & play. I challenge Swytch to design a version 3.0, where the battery gets a place within the frame in stead of on the handlebars. This will improve stability in tight turns at high speed.

Great idea to build an aftermarket kit to convert any bike, including Brompton's to electric. So good in fact I ordered two kits as we have two very old (1999) Brommies, that we wanted to electrify, so we could get rid of the really heavy electric folding bike my wife has been using, and have one for me. As I ordered early I knew there would be a long lead-time for the kits to arrive, and then Covid happened, hey ho. The first kit arrived recently and I had it fitted in no time, just had to swap the front wheel and tyre, fit the battery pack holder, and pedal sensor, although due to the very narrow space between my crank and bottom bracket I needed a quick call to Swytch Support to fit the sensor disk. Anyway, all fitted and cables tied in and its great! Hardly noticed the hills that used to slow me down. Need a few longer runs now, and the second kit should be arriving in a few days. Very happy!
