This company is just trying to scam people, Sent me an early access link claiming I would get 150 dollars off and the price is literally the same as when I almost ordered 2 weeks ago and decided against it. Was going to order with that discount but it was just a lie.

No answer from customer service and the product not working. I had a problem with the bike. The LED screen is no longer works and therefore the bike doesn't work either. I wrote to the CS and nobody answered me as already happened in the paset. How can I manage to get any assistance (since I am also under warranty)?

Regards Berry  -------- Oorspronkelijk bericht -------- Van: "Kseniya (Swytch Bike)" Datum: 09-08-2023 16:13 (GMT+01:00) Aan: lambertus.gitaren@gmail.com Onderwerp: [Swytch Bike] Re: Battery Charge Indicator Light Kseniya (Swytch Bike) 9 Aug 2023, 3:13 pm BST Hello Berry    There are several reasons why the range of a Swytch kit may be lower than the quoted ranges, which are typically determined through testing under specific conditions. Some factors that can affect the actual range include:   The quoted ranges are often based on ideal conditions, such as flat terrain, moderate temperatures, and no headwinds. In real-world situations, riding uphill, facing strong winds, stopping and starting often, or encountering rough terrain can significantly reduce the range. The quoted ranges assume a certain level of pedalling effort from the rider. If you rely more on the motor and pedal less, the battery will deplete faster, reducing the overall range. The quoted ranges are usually determined with a specific weight in mind, often around 80kg. Carrying additional weight, such as luggage or accessories, or being heavier than the average rider can impact the battery's performance and reduce the range.Proper tire pressure is important for optimal efficiency. Under or over-inflated tires can increase rolling resistance, resulting in higher energy consumption and decreased range.Riding at higher speeds requires more power from the motor, which can lead to faster battery depletion and a reduced range compared to riding at a moderate pace.Over time, lithium-ion batteries can experience a decrease in their capacity, resulting in reduced range. If the battery is older or has been heavily used, it may not provide the same range as when it was new.Extreme temperatures, both hot and cold, can affect battery performance. Very low temperatures, in particular, can temporarily reduce the battery's capacity and limit the range.  It's important to keep in mind that the quoted ranges are meant to provide an estimate under specific conditions and may not perfectly match real-world usage. If you consistently experience a significantly lower range than expected, it may be due to an issue with the controller which can test for. please could you perform the following test:   1 - Disconnect the power pack from the bike. 2 - Spin the wheel backwards, taking particular note of any resistance or noise. 3 - Repeat this with the power pack connected to the bracket.   Let us know if you notice any excessive resistance/noise or any difference with the power pack connected to the bracket, please send a video of this test if you can.   I hope this helps. Please let me know if you have any questions. Kind Regards, Kseniya | Customer Service Advisor | support@swytchbike.com Looking for more information? What a strange question.  I'm hoping you can propose me a real solution now. I'm starting to lose my patience if you keep asking, no use, questions and propose tests that I allready have done myself. Yes I read de troubleshooting on your website and tried several different settings. In my opinion the handlebar display is malfunctioning.  Maybe it is time to sent me another one so I can try and see if that's the problem.  Or any other part that can cause this particular problem. It is worth noting that the range estimates provided for the power are not a guarantee, and can be affected by many factors such as terrain and elevation throughout your ride. However, let's check everything is set up correctly first.   Start by performing the following tests.   1 - Disconnect the power pack from the bike.     2 - Spin the wheel backwards by hand, taking particular note of any resistance or noise.     3 - Repeat this with the power pack connected to the bracket.     Please let us know if you notice any excessive noise or resistance when spinning the wheel.    If there is no noise or resistance, then, using the correct guide below, please perform a factory reset of your kit, then reselect the correct wheel size and ensure the PAS direction is set to forward.   - Standard/Base Display Instructions (See p.43) - LED Display (turn off then on again) - OLED Display Instructions   Once you have completed these tests, please be sure to pump up your tires to the PSI indicated by the manufacturer and perform a test ride.   We look forward to hearing from you soon.   Have a great day! And it's halfway, 2/3 lights, on the battery after 15 km. This seems correct to me. On the display however, it's empty and motor stops. That's after 15 km. while using the minimum setting for support. This is not cool.. I think maybe there's a software problem, like the system doesn't recognise the bigger battery I have.... Please find me a solution for this problem because the way it's performing now is not at all satisfying.  Regards Berry  -------- Oorspronkelijk bericht -------- Van: "Kseniya (Swytch Bike)" Datum: 07-08-2023 14:38 (GMT+01:00) Aan: lambertus.gitaren@gmail.com Onderwerp: [Swytch Bike] Re: Battery Charge Indicator Light Kseniya (Swytch Bike) 7 Aug 2023, 1:38 pm BST Hi there, thank you for contacting Swytch. The light on your battery is a good indicator of charge level when charging but should not be used to determine the level of charge during your rides. This is because the display will read the level of charge better.    The display and battery read battery power level by the amount of voltage which fluctuates when in use, so sometimes can decrease more under load and can also go back up when not under load. It is also possible that the first light decreases quickly due to the level of charge too, when the first bar may go down very quickly, it may be that it was only charged up very slightly over that bar.  The best way to get an idea of charge is to check your display battery level indicator when you stop at traffic lights or a junction, for example. This is when the voltage will normalise and show the most accurate level of charge.   I hope that makes sense. Please don't hesitate to get in touch should you require further information.   Have a great day! Then goes flashing and motor turns off. I continue peddaling then after a while motor turns back on. And so on.. And of course, I keep on peddaling all the time. [G2MVKP-NERP3]

Swytch are a huge marketing con. People are now becoming very aware of what swytch are doing. They brought out the 1st and 2nd gen kits using cheap chinese battery cells which fail after 1 to 2 years. At the same time they announce they are bringing out an upgrade knowing full well that all the customers who bought the 1st and 2nd kits have no option to replace their batteries as swytch nolonger sell them thus forcing you into buying the upgrade. l complained to swytch and to keep me quiet they offered me £100 off the new upgrade kit whitch has nowhere near the same mileage as the older batteries. Their customer service is dreadful but their marketing is very clever. Stay well clear this company. Do not go for the upgrade con there are battery repair companies that will fit new samsung cells in you 1st and 2nd gen batteries for £250 and will be much higher quality and last much longer that the swytch rubbish. SWYTCH YOU ARE A CON

I ordered my kit in September 2022 and received it, with the wrong sized wheel, at the end of March 2023. Since then, I have spent hours exchanging emails with a succession of different people (who all sound like chat bots) who have variously promised to send me a new wheel (first promised "mid-March" - so travelling back in time!) and finally trying to just send the kit back and get a refund. Customer service is just bread crumbing - an occasional email with the promise of action and then silence for weeks. Nearly ten months in, I give up. Please don't buy from Swytch.

Two kits in my household are both totally unreliable despite several changes of components. Both pedal sensors have failed so thumb throttles were purchased. These worked for a short period, then only intermittently and now both have failed. These kits are a complete waste of money.

Customer service was extremely slow in responding and repetitive and denials and it took a good 4 months to get satisfaction for a battery that couldn't keep a charge. That is completely unacceptable. Swytch used to be a very good company but I fear it was sold or the management changed. The customer service is no longer good at all.

Awful experience. Swytch claimed their system fits 99% of bikes but clearly didn’t apply this to mountain bikes, despite selling them as compatible with mtb. We were told it was compatible with our Rockshox suspension forks but when it arrived, we couldn’t fit the axle. Transpires the Swytch wheel axle is 10mm which is hardly found on any mtb made in the last 20+ years. So Swytch told us to file down their wheel axle to fit the 9mm standard drop-out on our Rockshox forks. We did that but then found that the flared nuts got stuck between the drop-out and the stanchion outer. Not wanting to have to then make modifications to the flared bolts (and don’t have the tools to do it), we requested a return. Initially Swytch wanted to charge us to return but eventually accepted fault and refunded the full amount. Very disappointed with the whole process. They seemed oblivious / ignorant to the fact that their system is not even 10% compatible sigh modern mtbs. Added to that, they use old fashioned nuts and bolts and not quick release which is also what is found on the majority of mountain bikes made since the 1990s. The idea is good but Swytch need to do proper homework and make sure their wheels, hubs and axles are quick release and fully compatible with all mountain bike front suspension forks, before making such bold claims about 99% compatibility. And not fobbing off customers at the sales point saying they are, or expecting customers to modify their wheels. Added to that, we pre-ordered and it still took four months to deliver.

I bought a Swytch Brompton Pro Kit in November 2021 for £779. The kit was delivered in Dec 2021 and assembled by a mechanic at a bike shop who had experience with the kits to ensure everything was adequately done. Assembling it is not as straight forward as advertised. The warranty was activated after in mid-January and two weeks’ latter I had the first issue where the kit stopped working all together, leading to a few weeks of back and forth email from costumer support, troubleshooting and a first controller replacement. 4 months’ latter, in June, I reported an issue with the battery pack millage range. The Brompton Pro Kit advertised a range of 50km however it consistently delivered 30 to 35km for a full charge on a mostly flat daily commute in London (tested with GPS tracking several times). A couple more weeks of email exchange with Swytch which identified the issue as being related with the controller, once again, and send a 2nd replacement. That solved the issue at the time. I have never experienced a smooth ride and there was always some jerking (turbulent ride) which Swytch support never managed to sort out although at some point there was a query about the weight put on the bike (my weight is 65kg). Eventually I "learned" to live with this by reducing the speed and pedaling slowly. In February 2023, 7-months after the motor started to stop intermittently mid-ride and the battery turned off without any particular reason. I reported the issue, and during March and April went back and forth with emails, multiple troubleshooting and cleaning of parts, which resolved the problem for a couple of weeks. However in the first week of May the kit just stopped working all together. It has been 2-months of back and forth communication, several troubleshooting steps, several parts replaced including the handlebar bracket and the battery bag but nothing changed, the kit is just not working. The final outcome was that a new controller would be required, the 3rd since I bought the kit, however Swytch are no longer keeps them in stock so the alternative is to sell me a discounted Pro Power pack?! As if £779 for the kit, multiple faults in what probably was a faulty original package, and several months of unused kit weren’t enough. I have tried to request a refund and return the parks however in case you aren’t aware there is a 14-day period to test and return the kit, after which there is no possibility of returning a kit. The argument from Swytch is that the warranty has expired, not taking into account the several issues and periods where the kit didn't work, and they have send several parts, hence nothing else to be done. Overall an expensive kit, even with the presumably 50% discount from pre-order, that doesn’t deliver what it promises in quality, a technical support that takes too long to reply, a customer service that isn’t fit for purpose and nonexistent formal complaint system. In the absence of a formal escalation process for complaining with Swytch I have contacted the citizens advise for guidance on proceeding with a formal complaint. My suggestion is avoid Swytch altogether.

Incomplete delivery, low autonomy and bad times of the support I paid more than 1000 Euros for the max version of this kit by taking all the options for my Brompton and paying more to be delivered faster, on arrival the delay was very long with a deposit on September 14, 2022 and delivery mid-May 2023. No courier informed me of the delivery and it arrived while I was on vacation, fortunately I had given the address of my company for delivery, the disadvantage is that I lost the 15-day period that allows to cancel the order. the delivery arrived incomplete with the Brompton Block absent. About this I had two different responses from support, the first told me that there was no trace of my order of this block, so I sent a screenshot of my order and the second response to talk about a quality problem that had to be fixed to meet the quality standards of Swytchbike and that I will receive later the Brompton Block. Having already assembled a kit of another brand the assembly was done without difficulty and it is true that its design is rather well done and that if you are lucky this kit can be very pleasant, but with so many unfavorable opinions it is really a lottery and in my case I lost. In operation I saw that the battery planned for 30 km in normal assistance and 39 km with the minimum assistance which is the one I use never reached 20 km on flat terrain with the assistance at least despite my weight in the average (81 kg) and a bike under 18 kg. In addition the led display integrated into the battery indicating the level of charge does not work properly, even emptied to the maximum the battery always 3 LEDs of lit which suggests a charge to 60%. After many exchanges on these problems where I gave and repeated the same information to different interlocutors, the after-sales service considered that the battery had no problem despite performance almost 50% lower plus a defective charge display and allowed itself authority to close the ticket. If this kit is not defective, the announced autonomy is really exaggerated, I had planned to equip my wife's bike with this kit, for sure I will never do, this brand is to flee absolutely, I consider that I was fooled by more than 1000 euros and that I will not let pass.

I ordered a kit. It arrived 2 months late and after I had to send a legal letter of demand. I then asked to return the kit. I didn’t get a response for a month even though you only have 2 weeks to return. I have arranged 3 separate days for them to collect this over the course of 2 months. They have failed to show up each time so I now have a lot I do not want and I do not have a refund. DO NOT BUY THIS EVER.

Great piece of kit utterly disgraceful customer service. My kit requires one more part, not known at time of order and there is no way of contacting swytchbike. There is no customer service number. There is no interactive chat line. You can only follow a preset list of responses which eventually loop back to the start. There are no humans to contact. Does anyone have a telephone number or email which will go to a human? I have had my kit now for 4 weeks (took 6 months to get) and cannot do anything with it. Cannot even buy the part I want as an accessory because it isn’t listed as an accessory and I can’t talk to a human. Don’t waste your money. If this is the future of AI God help us !

I ordered my Brompton Swytch kit in September, 2022 and it was then promised for March 2023. End of February 2023, I got the message that delivery would be done in two weeks. We are now May, 30 and I still haven't received anything, except for false (lying) promises or information from Swytch with excuses, excuses and ... excuses. But no precise information on whether or when my kit will be delivered. This is definitely the worst Customer Service experience I ever had for material of this price.

Four months ago, I placed a pre-order for a Swytch Kit, paying a $200 USD fully refundable deposit to secure my spot in production. After making this payment, I received an invitation to complete my full order and pay the remaining balance of $400 USD. Unfortunately, my financial situation changed, and I could no longer afford the remainder of the payment. I am a student living on a month-to-month paycheck, so every dollar counts. I reached out to SwytchBike via email, as they do not provide a support phone line, and requested a refund of my $200 USD deposit. To my utter disappointment, SwytchBike chose to ignore my emails, even though they supposedly have a refund policy in place. I felt ignored and taken advantage of, especially when they were so quick to take my money initially. It is astonishing to me that a company would be so responsive when it comes to placing an order but chooses to neglect customers once they have your money. This experience has left a sour taste in my mouth, and it truly saddens me because I put my trust in SwytchBike. As a customer who was once excited to try their product, I now have no desire to order a Swytch kit in the future. This entire ordeal with SwytchBike has not only led to financial stress but also disappointment in a company that I once trusted. I sincerely hope that no one else has to go through such a negative experience when all we want is to enjoy a new electric bike kit. It seems that SwytchBike is more concerned with making money than taking care of their customers.

Put down a deposit of £250 a few months ago then paid the full £577 later on. Had to cancel due to personal circumstances. Only had £577 refunded. At no point has anyone said I would lose the deposit so I'm struggling to see whats gone on here. Finding it very hard to get any sense from Swytch who seem to take days to reply to emails. 3 days since my last email. Swytch you need to think about investing in a phone line or a more responsive messaging service. Customer support is poor and so far I can honestly say I would never use this company again.
