It is a great way to electrify my bike and it works well. The reason for four instead of five stars is because I originally bought version 1 and it finally gave up the ghost. When I contacted Swytch, as the problem got worse, about what might be wrong I got very little help beyond 'do some tests'. What would have been more helpful is somewhere I could have sent the kit to be tested by Swytch engineers - I would have paid for this if necessary. Now I have some spare kit with no idea which bits work and which bits are broken; what a waste.

Quite simply to fit but found sensor quite temper mental to fit and can easily move when going over rough road surfaces. Battery pack for the Go is heavier than I thought it would be and glad I did not go for a more powerful one. it works well for me as mostly use only to go up hills and it does not effect the bike when turned off. Have filled in 2 preliminary registration forms on line but still have not had a reply to confirm warranty.

I upgraded and I've not long received my Go++, (after around 2 month delay) but in the few weeks I have had it.. I would say the performance is a bit Meh. It arrived just in time realistically as my Air max battery was starting to struggle with holding its capacity. After 3 years of nearly daily use and charging it was almost time to consider replacing the battery. I had the Max Air previous, and while it's nice not to have the block on the handle bar, the Go++ is an almighty chunk of a block that you attach to your frame. Seriously you need a Motor just to carry it.. there's got to be lighter materials for a battery... The plus side is I don't have to worry about charging it up everyday, if I forget then it's got plenty of charge. I only use the bike when I'm commuting to and from work which is about 6/7 miles per day, and I've used perhaps 1/3 of the charge on the battery after 2 days. The straps that attach it to the frame are again fairly straight forward but not the best if you wear gloves, one of the pluses of the Air was it was simple to connect and secure with or without gloves. Biggest issue with the UK kit (and I think Spain as well) is the local speed restrictions. The Go++ is internally restricted to 25kph (15.5mph), theres stickers attached to the battery when you first get it, obviously there's at least 2 different versions of the same battery, and aside from an occasional push to 18mph it then throttles the speed whilst your peddling*. Its almost like it applies a whole lot of extra weight to slow you down (presumably the electromagnet in the motor). * It doesn't apply when your freewheeling I have found that cycling in 15th Gear means I'm largely in that sweet spot where I'm cycling slow enough that the motor doesn't slow me down and I don't have to work to hard. 18th and 21st gears causes vibrations in the motor, where it's a fight between the restriction and the motor to go faster which causes an interesting sensation. Oh and one of the negatives is that in this particular model they haven't changed the connection to the USB-C like they have with the recent redesign to the Air max. So you have to use the charger and plug that they provide. It will likely be the last one I buy for a while, at least until some new battery materials become available and it becomes lighter and holds a longer charge and range.

I’m happy with my Go kit, but with 2 reservations. Firstly even with the legal requirements the thumb throttle needs to be able to offer meaningful assistance to move away from rest and secondly a black rim option for my kit needs to be available to order. Swytch need to up their game and listen to their loyal customers.

I have rated as 3 stars. This is because I was not happy with the delivery being put back time and again after prepayment in full. I would have thought that prepayment should have ensured that the delivery times first promised would be kept. Communication was not the best with the Swytch bike reps slow to respond. The equipment was well packaged and arrived in a good state. The kit was relatively straightforward to install, I do have a good mechanical and electrical skill level but others may struggle. I havent tried out the bike other than up and down the road to test but it does seem to perform well and as expected. For some of the attachments, the provided tie wraps weren't large enough for my bike frame. Overall, a good product, priced about right but Swytch Bike MUST improve customer service after order and improve communication with the customer.

I recently purchased a new battery pack. Delivery was 2 months late, given you pay upfront you can’t change your mind. Retrofitting the battery to the existing cable was very difficult. The connection is flimsy and could do with redesigning. Despite the above the performance is good.

The great thing about this adaptation is I've still got my much loved bike. I can take the battery off and go or if I'm heading for the hills I can have the extra help my age requires. A good price, Customer Service needs improving, they don't always answer the question you've asked. My husband put the kit on reasonably easily, there are a few extra wires I could do without and it requires cable clips to keep everything tidy so it doesn't look pretty but does the job.

Well, I hit a slight snag on my GO...in that the battery wouldn't fit under the cross bar on the intended bike. DOH! Thankfully, we had another mountain bike with the same size wheels and so we installed the kit there instead 👍 After making some modifications to the pedal sensor (we had to cut the base off) everything is working brilliantly 👍😊

Ordered kit for my wife and I's 20th anniversary gift to her. She is thrilled with it, and can now keep up with my electric recumbent trike (homebuilt). It arrived in a very timely manner, but unexpectedly, as I did not see the email with the tracking info!! Not as much of a surprise for her, also, because she snooped into my credit card statement and saw the purchase!! The kit was very easy to install, and the instructions were very clear and concise. We enjoyed putting it together, together!! The pedal assist is not working in it yet because the magnet is not aligned with the sensors - current rear fender mount is in the way.

After having it for a couple weeks, I’ve been satisfied with my purchase of the GO++ kit from Swytch, although I would only recommend it to folks with enough patience to go through the months-long ordering, payment and delivery processes. Having the patience and ability to install your own kit helps as well. The installation takes forethought, and possibly some customization that might void the warranty on some parts of your bike, if that matters to you. To be clear, I opted for the longest available delivery window at the time (4 months), which got me a Swytch kit at the lowest price, and I installed it myself. For twice the price, Swytch offers expedited shipping, and you could pay to have a bike shop install the kit on your bike. At that point, the price of a Swytch surpasses some new E-bikes, and would definitely be out of my personal price range. It also goes against my reasoning for getting a conversion kit, which is to augment the bike i already own rather than buying a new e-bike, allaying my home storage concerns and my admittedly more existential environmental angst. Ordering/Payment - Instead of filling out an order form, and paying the shipping and taxes in one day like most direct-to-consumer products, Swytch asks that you put down an initial deposit, a later second payment to complete the price of the kit, and a third payment that includes your local tax fees. Each of these payment requests are sent to you over the span of three months, and if you miss one of the payment request emails, Swytch will skip your order in the production queue, potentially significantly delaying your order’s delivery. The order form for your specific wheel size and any accessories you’d like comes nearly a month after you put in your first deposit. I guess that the timing of the payment requests has to do with inventory pipeline stuff, and shipping details. But it’s frustrating to think that you’ve paid in full for a product in full four months ago, then receive a notice that if you don’t pay $60 within a week, your order will be delayed again. The ordering/delivery process had me checking my email for a notice from Swytch every couple days, for months. Delivery- The delivery process was lengthy. I ordered my Swytch kit in April this year, with an expected delivery window of mid-August, but didn’t receive it until mid-October, after it was pushed back twice. Installation- Installation of the kit was moderately simple aside from the pedal sensor, which took some getting my head around. The thing that took me the most time was routing the cables on my bike in a way that makes sense, but Swytch provides a few examples that you can use as a template for your particular bike. I ended up burning through the zipties that they supplied, and adding some of my own because I kept having to re-adjust my cables. After swapping my disc brake rotor onto the new rim, I had to use a dremel to grind a bit off of my front disc brake caliper to keep the rotor from rubbing. It took me a day or so to adjust the pedal sensor to read properly: if the sensor isn’t properly aligned, the motor will cut in and out. Also, adjusting the wheel size in the menu of the LED display was important to getting the most power out of the motor. Product- The kit works extremely well after it’s installed. It’s a pedal sensor kit - the motor has a delay of almost a full crank rotation before it engages, so don’t expect massive acceleration from a full stop. The motor gradually kicks in and augments your pedaling effort. It feels smooth, strong and is nearly inaudible in the lower levels. My commute has a fair amount of hills, and the Swytch kit makes them a lot easier to manage, as well as making me faster on straightaways. The battery on my Swytch Go++ has lasted for 57 miles of use on the lower 3 levels, which is pretty close to the 60 miles of advertised range. On the 5th gear, I got to 22 mph on a straightway with moderate effort, although i haven’t tried pushing it past that. It may sound like I’m being overly negative about Swytch, but I like the Go++ kit a lot. I feel like once I got the kit properly installed on my bike, it worked exactly as it was advertised. I actually ordered a second kit for my wife after using mine for a week. That said, I think it’s important to properly inform people of what the process of acquiring a kit for a decent price requires, which is a lot time and patience. I think that once Swytch refines their ordering/shipping systems, this will be an industry-disruptive product. I hope they get to that point. Note on bike lights/dynamo hubs: I had a dynamo in my front wheel hub that powered my front and back bike lights. Since the Swytch is a front wheel motor system, I had to sacrifice the dynamo to run it, and now my bike’s built in lights are non-functional. Swytch doesn’t offer a wired bike light solution yet, but it could, since the wiring harness has an unused accessory port in most cases. In the meantime, someone has reverse engineered a DIY solution here: https://blog.shadura.me/2023/04/12/swytch-e-bike-lights/, that requires purchasing around $60 of new hardware. Worth checking out if you’re in the same boat.

Its everything its advertised to be. Directions were extremely easy to follow, the only thing was there were no directions for the optional equipment I purchased, (Throttle and battery/ power meter.) I was amazed that it worked so well after I put it together.

We love our switch bikes...only wish it could go farther than 50kms on a charge. Doesn't always work, cutting in and out. Switch sent a new battery adapter, but still having issues with it. Not wanting to spend additional monies as we are looking to purchase e-bikes in the future. Price is economical for a beginner bike. Haven't had to return anything to weigh in on the refunds, etc. Downside would be that they do not ship to Canada for free and had to use an agent in the US. It would be really good to have a dealer here in Canada that would take us to the next level in bike / battery maintenance and or the purchase of the next gen battery now being advertised.

Switch Go+ was fairly easy to install if you have a one seater but on a tandem was very difficult. Customer service was very quick to reply to help but don't think they got the concept that my tandem had chain on left side where pedal sensor was designed to install. On right side, the free side of my tandem had to pedal backwards for it to work. I had to figure out myself how to install it behind the chain on the left side but seems to work good after a day and a half trying different things until it works. Just had one day to try it out so far but really helps on slight to moderate uphills. Haven't given it a good try on steep hills. Did take some effort on the one steep hill I tried but still probably a lot easier than without it.Motor cord had a long axel sticking out on front wheel so had to use electricians tape to hold plastic cap on since would not fit over nut that was too far back.I tried to up load pictures but wouldn't upload them.

Delivery was 2 months behind schedule, but fair play to Swytch they refunded the delivery charge. Kit was well packed and installation went smoothly, but scanning QR codes for the manuals never worked, but found them online. Feel annoyed as purchased the lever accelerator but it works at 4mph walking speed only, so dont buy it in UK. Kit works well so far, haven't fully tested the range yet.

I have had problems with intermittent power ever since getting the kit . athe pedal sensor is flimsy and I ended up fixing everything rigidly with epoxy putty. This has still not fixed the problem and I suspect the battery is faulty.

I was totally enthusiastic with my first Swytch Kit (ECO) in 2021. It delivered good pedal assist on climbs ... and still does to this day! However, a strange thing happened twice in my case: after 6 months of use the electrical components in the handlebar mounting bracket suddenly failed to deliver power to the motor. The support from Swytch was fairly good, and after two months of troubleshooting they finally came around to replacing the bracket. Then it happened again about another 6 months later (Aug 2023)! Though out of production, they did provide me with another ECO handlebar bracket which is working still (Oct. 2024). In the meantime, I had ordered an AIR upgrade kit in 2022. When it finally arrived in June 2023, the boxed parts were just bobbling around loose in the larger shipment box and no documentation at all was sent - not even a packing slip. The ordered A-Frame bracket was also not included and Swytch and after 6 months of getting the runaround from various Swytch Support contacts, the offered to send me a sattle mount instead. I accepted and have this mounted in parallel with my ECO kit. AIR was/is a big disappointment when it comes to power delivery and compared to ECO actually was a downgrade in this regard. AIR is good enough on straightaways and moderate climbs, but it can't handle long or steep hills like ECO. I totally agree with the review from Larry Gross [https://www.reviews.io/company-review/store/www-swytchbike-com/23425189] regarding backward compatibility and long-term availability of parts (batteries and mounts), which is why I hesitate to buy another Swytch Kit. Plus, the price just for an upgrade to MAX has gotten outrageous: the last offer of 60% off of MAX sounds great, but you do the math and realize the normal price would 1000 Euros! YIKES!

This Swytch kit is very good! I did a lot of big changes for my customized triathlon bike (I call it Outroad SFDP 18 or Outroad SF Lightning II). 250 watt motor power is good and I mostly paddle assist more than throttle while it is used for backup. My project of this bike took me days to change out the brake lever (expensive Dura Ace), disc brake for heat dissipation, 5000 continental race tires, Redshift pedal lights, customized time trial handlebars for uniqueness, stronger adjustable kickstand, USS seat post for shock resistance, better soft racing seat, black wheel spokes with black rim Weinmann DP18. With the additions, 2 headlights (This one is out of stock), tail lights with double lasers on side, X GPS offline technology, mechanical portable air pump, portable & foldable locker, rockbros bag, and double cup holders on the rear seat. This whole thing cost me around $2000. The wheel spokes took me 4 days to finished if learned for the first time. Otherwise, the kit was pretty easy to install, the pedal sensor works flawlessly, the throttle works great and the OLED full control but my time trial handlebar has no room for them so I find another way to put them on by buying and using the handlebar extenders in the front. The customer service response is good! the delivery is okay but I did receive a refund for promise shipping delivery date (You deserve my 5 star rating for that and did an excellent job), the price is just right! Thank you Swytch Team!

I'm sorry to say that "happy" doesn't apply. Not your fault but this was for my wife and her bike was difficult to mount because the bar in front of the seat was too high. The first time she tried it, she fell before she got started, scrapped her hands, shin and knees, ripped her jeans. Not a good start but afterwards, she enjoyed the ride. She hasn't got on it since though. I got her this for her birthday which I usually get wrong somehow. Still I gave you a four star rating.
