Easy to install and easy to use gave a new life to my bike

It’s great to get out for longer rides with help from electric assist. I am a little disappointed in the length of time the battery lasts and I had bought the larger one when getting the kit. My other disappointment is the discrepancy between the charge indicators on the battery and the control panel, very annoying when out and about. I was discouraged from contacting Swytch as I had had so little success previously when my kit was delayed two or three times, I seemed only to get stock reply’s that didn’t give me any more information and because of this did not try to contact them with these questions about how the battery and kit were performing.

It works very well especially on hills. Improvements to service. 1 Buying platform is a bit hit and miss and follow up confirmation confusing as to nest steps resulting in a longer delivery period. 2 Delivery....rim damaged in box which had been damaged maybe by fork lift forks. 3 No width option for wheel rim ....respoked onto existing rim. Battery....unable to use last 40% of charge. Reprogramming as described in user book dis not work. 4 unable to contact anyone on phone after payment to discuss rim width options. Good price, functions well and pleased after installation completed.

The new Air max kit is perfect for folding bikes. A fabulous bike now to nip into town. Personally I prefer the previous pro kit, (much better mileage) but the new battery is lighter and easy to remove to avoid theft. Customer service was excellent - can't fault it. I'll ride round the block just for the pleasure and smile it gives me.

I do love my Swytch bike and enjoy that I can travel further and 'take' on hills easier! Considering it is an expensive purchase it was disappointing how long it took to arrive plus the order did not arrive in on piece.

Going well now. Well impressed with swytch’s Swytch service when things went wrong. Needed a new controller and new battery which were replaced very quickly.

I'm very happy with my Swytch bike. In my case it means I can get around on two wheels to do my shopping, and avoid always using the car. The instructions for installing the electric motor were straightforward and everything worked well. Would recommend Swytch unreservedly.

After using my swytch for around 400 miles it is great. The battery gets me 10-15 miles not the 30 miles as i am 90kg, charging is fine the charger switches itself off when full so no need to worry about overcharging. The spokes were a little loose out of the box the youtube vid helped build ir. Led screen is good. Keeping it on the low power settings is best high power for short journeys. 2 batteries if you can afford it good to have if using regularly.

Customer service was excellent. The switch kit is actually easier to fit than you might think. Once you order it you are notified every step of the way - it is very clear and upfront. Any problems they really do help you. Using the Swytch system had brought back my love of cycling. I cycle everyday. I have also managed to get more km’s per battery than I thought I would. I originally got the lowest km battery and have since upgraded to the pro - this is because I am now enjoying going on longer rides something I haven’t done for years. The batteries charge very quickly (they do not take hours) best to charge in wall socket plugs rather than extension types) I can’t think of anything negative to say - although perhaps check your wheel size, make sure you do not have drum brakes and your fork is the open sort. That said if you don’t have a suitable bike it’s worth picking up a second hand one.

Great addition! Easy to use. Great customer service, I do need to keep an eye on the battery as it is the smaller one so doesnt go for mNy short journeys. Power sometimes fluctuates. But all in all i love it i might need to invest is a bigger battery though for longer jaunts.

Excellent service and delivery on time - a great product. Easy installation with good, clear installation instructions. Performance good for local trips but battery life limited. It’s enabled me to continue using my cherished but heavy bike. Highly recommended!

Innovation: Swytch seemed to be a terrific innovation in 2020. Since then, however, the innovation seems to have dropped off, sacrificing performance and reliability for portability and convenience. Ordering: Invariably, the ordering process was riddled with errors and technical difficulties and several follow-up communications ensued each time. Delivery: Unfortunately, the production is done in the Far East (of course). Despite unforeseen world events my first kit arrived close to schedule; the second one was delayed by half a year, and no delivery of the A-Frame bracket was ever achieved "due to production and quality issues". Performance: Great to begin with the ECO model (Gen. 2), but poor performance of successive "upgrades" (AIR). Glad to have it, but I will try more affordable competitors with rear-wheel drive in the future. (Front-wheel drive is poor for off-road climbs.) Compatibility: While the motor and pedal sensor through successive generations has been (until recently) preserved, the battery pack assembly has not. I managed to mount the ECO and the AIR on my bike such that I can switch (no pun intended) between the two as needed, but - unless you are technically knowledgeable and skilled - this requires physically re-plugging the motor and the pedal sensor, which is better than having only to rely on one kit. Swytch could have offered a compatibility kit to make this possible, but in spite of their innovation, they did not, which is disappointing and one of my main reasons for not continuing with with Swytch products. Support: Somewhere between mediocre and pretty good, depending on what you require, but the ticket system is not user-friendly. You can not have more than one active issue at a time, which means you may have to address multiple problems or questions in one single long confusing thread of emails and feeds until the case is closed. Multiple support agents will handle one ticket, which can be frustrating depending upon how well each one understands the communication and the issues. Nevertheless, issues do get resolved, but one must be resilient and patient and communicate as clearly as possible, using proper terminology (e.g., easy to confuse the Battery Charge Indicator with the PAS Battery Level Indicator). Swytch Experience: I was quite happy with my first Swytch kit: the second generation ECO model. It performed/performs well, but the battery pack bracket developed a defect that disabled the communication between the pedal sensor and the motor. After much back and forth with Support, they did replace the battery bracket at no additional cost even though the one-year warranty had expired. The replacement bracket developed the same defect and was replaced again. That was great, but it took a lot of time and effort. Luckily, this third bracket is still working after about 6 months of use. Then came the third generation AIR model. Nicely compact, but the performance was/is very disappointing compared to ECO, particularly during climbs at power levels 3, 2, or 1. It often can't deliver and the motor cuts out during the climb even if the Battery Charge Indicator and the PAS Battery Level Indicator are at level 4 (out of 5). After about a 40 to 75 second "recovery", the battery is able to deliver a short burst of power before cutting out again soon thereafter. It is annoying to say the least. Swytch recommends always charging the battery pack even after the shortest of rides, which is a nuisance and not required for conventional e-bikes. I had ordered an A-Frame bracket for AIR, but it never came... or was never flawlessly produced. I was given quite a runaround on this for months and in the end demanded a refund, which they granted. Swytch provided a seat bracket at no cost, which was better than nothing, yet not what I wanted. Nevertheless, it has allowed me to use AIR and ECO on the same bike and I am grateful for that. Despite all the grievances I have had with my Swytch bike, I love it and use it for daily commuting, running errands, and an occasional 30 km bike tour. It has enhanced my cycling experience greatly and I will be sad when the batteries wear out or an essential component breaks down again.

Originally I was pleased with my swytch kit. I even bought a second one. However - the battery has now failed on my first kit after minimal use over 3 years. The solution swytch have given is spending a further £275 to upgrade to the new battery. This is despite a reassurance in the first place that offered a battery replacement service which has conveniently been forgotten. I think they knew the battery was limited in its lifetime and have abandoned their original customers. Really disappointed with their poor treatment of loyal customers.

Easy to install working great. But the time line from the time I ordered to the day I received the bike was so long.

This is our second Swytch kit. Easy to fit, works well and has helped me regain my cycling confidence after moving to a hilly area of UK. Battery life of Switch air is adequate but am a bit disappointed with the voltage dropouts on steep climbs. A short rest of 30s seems to do the trick but its annoying. Pre order wait time is way too long. By the time my kit arrived having ordered in March it was winter again so effectively I did not have an opportunity to use the bike in assisted mode for a year.

I was quite happy with the first Swytch kit - the second generation ECO model. It performed/performs well, but the battery pack bracket developed a defect that disabled the communication between the pedal sensor and the motor. After much back and forth with Swytch Support, they did replace the battery bracket at no additional cost even though the one-year warranty had expired. The replacement bracket developed the same defect and was replaced again. That was great! Luckily, the this third bracket has not conked out yet (after about 6 months of use). Then came the third generation AIR model. Nicely compact, but the performance was/is very disappointing compared to ECO, particularly during climbs at power levels 3, 2, or 1. At a battery level of 4 it often can't deliver for even a short climb on a paved road and the motor cuts out during the climb. After about a 40 to 75 second "recovery", the battery is able to deliver power, but cuts out again soon there after. It is annoying to say the least and this is one reason I will not purchase a Swytch kit again. While the motor and pedal sensor through successive generations has been (until recently) preserved, the battery pack assembly has not been conserved. I managed to mount the ECO and the AIR on my bike such that I can switch (no pun intended) between the two as needed, but this requires replugging the motor and the pedal sensor. Better than having only to rely on one. Swytch could have offered a compatibility kit to make this possible, but in spite of their innovation, they did not. Also disappointing. Swytch's ticketing system is poor. You can not have more than one open ticket at a time. You often have to communicate with multiple support agents which can be frustrating depending upon how well each one understands the communication and the issues. If you have a real problem (and you know what you are doing), it will take a lot of effort to convince Swytch of a problem and possible solution. Sometimes they close cases before they are verified resolved. Still, they do come through in the end and respond quickly to replies.

I am very happy with my swytch bike conversion. The extra power allows me to keep up with some of my fitter friends and even pass them on the up hill stretches. The only problem I have is the limited range of the battery I purchased. I have looked in to getting an additional battery but I have had trouble understanding what the options are on the web site.
