“Although I wouldn't use the tefl teaching certificate as a solid career, it has been a really fun experience and I got to meet a bunch of great people! I've been using the certificate to travel and work, and it has really helped me in certain areas to find teaching jobs.”

“With so many TEFL options around, I felt overwhelmed. After researching about Premier TEFL and coming across the stellar reviews (not to mention absolutely reasonable pricing), I went with my gut. So glad that I did! The coursework is thoroughly explained without being intense or stressful. “It was well organized, easy to follow, clearly written. Suggestions for improvement - 1. there are numerous spelling and grammatical errors throughout the text! These should be corrected. 2. it was unnerving not knowing the format and length of the tests before taking them - this should be clearly indicated in each unit before the test is attempted”

Regarding the errors you found, we'd love to locate those - if you remembered where? Having a marker of the duration of each unit assessment so that you could understand the challenge ahead is something we'll feed into the academic team and tech team - it's a really clever idea and I'm sure other students would agree with you.

“Very quick replies to their webpage and email responses. Being able to ask for a phone call also gives a huge sense of security and the employees are super helpful. There was a bit of a mix up with visa situations which caused confusion and some issues such as changes in our original contracts but all in all it is well worth it. You could try get into the country (China for me) yourself, and sort your own TEFL and accommodation out, it is possible and you would end up making significantly more money... BUT the additional hassle and stress that that would create wasn't worth it for me. Having everything organized and taken care of allowed me to relax and actually enjoy the process which I think was well worth the costs!”

“The upside of premier TEFL is the support before leaving, plus it is a good and easy way to find a job which is hard to do in a foreign country. The downside is that it is very expensive to apply for the internship, and the pay was very, very bad considering the high cost of living in Brazil, so unless you have a lot of money saved up it is difficult to travel during your work abroad. The other issue was the lack of communication between TEFL and the English school, since the school was very disorganized it caused a lot of issues. All that said, when I arrived I had a host family and a job from day 1, which would probably have taken me a month to set up on my own.”

We really appreciate your honest feedback about your experience 💙Internships are a great way to get into the TEFL world for first time teachers, typically shorter internship contract commitments mean that pay is lower as the trade off. We'll work harder to let people going to Brazil know that they need to budget more savings 💰to make life more comfortable.

“I've found the company extremely helpful when contacted, they provide support right up until you arrive in China. However the reason I am rating the company 3 stars is the pay - after enquiring about the approximate salary one should get paid here, I would not advise going through Premier TEFL. If you are the type of person that requires a safety net upon arrival in a strange country then by all means (they are a very organised company) however I slightly regret it.”

Hi Luke, thanks for your kind words about our team 💙it truly means a lot to everyone. For sure, single semester internships in China that are open to non degree holders have a low pay 💵compared to jobs available on the z visa. Having a degree 🎓is key to getting a great salary in China. As a first time teacher experience, the all-inclusive and supported internship is a winner for so many. I'm sorry to hear your regret at having chosen the internship route...but now you're on the TEFL adventure the 🌏is your oyster!
