“For some reason, I am being asked to submit a review halfway-through the course. The material is okay, but is far less than I expected. This program isn't worth it, I feel.”

“I don't like that I am required to submit this review when I'm only half-way finished with the course. And there is certainly not 120 hours-worth of material. The material offered is decently useful, but I expected the course to take far longer, especially for the price.”

“I did a 120 hour TEFL course with Premier TEFL and with each module I learned something useful that I will take into my ESL jobs. I learned a lot about what to expect and how to prepare for teaching students a second language and I recommended this course to my friend since it is accredited and has gotten me online jobs that I have applied for.”

“I am already a Functional Skills Tutor, and I found the material very helpful in my current role and feel confident that I can use the training to great effect when teaching TEFL/ESOL. Lessons are laid out in logical manageable chunks, with various resources to show the practical application. Easy to fit into any busy schedule, and you work at your own pace. I enjoyed the two courses that I've already completed, and look forward to starting the third. I hope you enjoy studying with Premier and get as much out of the experience”

“PremierTEFL is pretty good, but not perfect. Pros: - Support staff are readily available via telephone and email. - The course is relatively multimodal and encourages an impressive degree of student input, considering that it is an online course (eg. written text to read, "reflective tasks" to complete independently, videos to watch, quizzes to take, etc.). - It flows well and provides frequent, helpful examples to clarify and contextualize the concepts it presents. Cons: - There are many typos and "grammatical errors" (at least, by the rules of the Standard United States English that is taught in U.S. schools); this strikes me as unprofessional specifically because of the nature of the program. However, I take fervent ideological error with the standardization and normalization of certain types of Englishes over others, so I don't think this point is too big of a deal. - Unless you purchase the course with a tutor, the people to whom you reach out will not be able to give you specific support on the course content (eg. I decided to contest one of my Module 1 quiz answers because I felt that the question was not sufficiently nuanced for its answer choices, and I was unable to defend my answer to somebody and hear a rebuttal).”
