“Ordered some oil, in a metal container. Not sure if it's an Opie grip or a FedEx grip but it looks like it's taken a battering! Not quite enough that it's leaking but enough that I haven't got the guts to try and straighten the tin up.”

Hello, thank you for your feedback. We are really sorry to hear about this dented tin. Sadly these items are very easy to dent and damage due to the nature of the materials used. We have invested alot of time and energy in sourcing packing to help eliminate damaged and dented tins. We are saddened that our efforts were not enough to protect the item. “I’ve ordered from Opie for many years and they have always been fantastic. On this occasion however the 5 litres of oil I ordered had leaked in the box during transport and upon checking the container the protective seal around the cap had been broken. The package arrived promptly via a courier and was well sealed so this could only have happened before dispatch. Disappointing, but there was enough oil left for a 4.5 litre change hence the low star review.”

Hello, thank you for your feedback. We are very sorry to hear about this situation. I can assure that this would not have happened in our care in the warehouse. Sadly with this Shell item it does not have an inner seal but only an external tamper proof seal. Sadly because of its poor handling whilst in the care of FedEx it had been misshandled and had leaked from the container.
