This is a very comfortable walking shoe which is made even better by being available in a wide fitting.

I've had these boots for half a year now and they are very comfortable. There is good ankle support and they clean up well with a swede brush. I would reccomend them, especialy if you want good ankle support.

Lowa offer superb quality walking and hiking shoes of the very best comfort & quality. The service is also excellent, with fast delivery and free return included as a matter of course, whether needed or not (not so far - fingers crossed!). I'm 100% satisfied with Lowa and in fact considering my next purchase already.

Good quality but returned as the toe box is the wrong shape for my feet so I shall have to see what's available next season. I don't need waterproofing but it seems to be the only option to get the shape I need.

Tried a beautiful pair of regular size in the stunning charcoal/blue colour way, then exchanged for the wider version in the definitely less attractive anthracite (has a greenish hue). Also, disappointed that, after a 10-mile hike, they certainly don't feel any wider than the previous pair, and wish I had stuck with those. On the plus side, the quality is outstanding, and they are robust yet light.

They are light and comfortable, but theFerroxare even lighter and more comfortable. However I think the Taurus are more sturdy and possibly more waterproof that is why I keep them for winter walking. Both are light and easy to pack adding little additional weight to my baggage, the Ferrox being especially so. I would wear no other brand and would keep to these two models

The lowa boots i bought are great for every terrain. The ankle support is 2nd to non, you feel the quality and support on wearing them, They give you confidence to tackle the harsher walking environments

Great for comfort, 100% waterproof but have worn very quickly. I bought these in April for walking my dogs (2-3 hours a day, about 35-40 miles per week) mainly off road, and by October the heels were badly worn and the soles were also looking as if they wouldn't last much longer. So I will probably get a different brand nex Spring. Currently using boots for winter walking.

They are The only boots that fit me. The woman’s last is just right. I have had several pairs over the past 25 years. I particularly like the vey light ones. Taurus and Ferrox, the former I can wear on the Wicklow mountains in winter as the are totally waterproof the latter are superbly light and I keep these mostly for the summer. I ordered a pair of the Taurus and they arrived within seven working days, excellent service, delighted

I had my first pair of Lowa boots about 10 year ago and they were the best boots I had ever worn. I bought my second pair last year (different style) and they were no different. Very good fit, very comfortable, great ankle/foot support, no breaking in required and everything I want in a walking boot.

There is no doubt the boots are comfortable and so far, my feet have stayed dry. But, after just the first exposure to wet grass they lost colour over the toes and looked like old boots - very disappointed. Lowa's response was "that's unexpected" but nothing else. The protection cream supplied with the boots, even when put on in small amounts and left overnight, turns to a milky residue as soon as it contacts wet grass. Again, looks very poor. Overall, a good boot so far but not confident enough to buy again.

I was so happy with my first pair Lowa shoes bought from the high street which I've worn nearly everyday for two years. I've just purchased an identical pair, this time direct from Lowa at a considerable saving, their service was first class even down to a returns form(prepaid) should I need to return the item. As a pensioner I need to spend wisely, my old pair still have a few miles left in them yet, wife says they've seen better days,I say they are just run in...

First impressions are that the boots are very well made, having wide size 13 feet my options were limited but the fit is very good, the wide forefoot very good. They are reasonably heavy as the leather is thicker than less expensive boots and having done 2 short walks will require some breaking in, though not as much as other boots I have had. Wife has Lowa Renegade, which is a good all round boot, the Ranger is a stiffer boot more suited to hillwalking and slightly tougher conditions, not so good if the walk has long road sections.
