“The hops powder seems to be OK, but the pack of yeast doesn't work at all. I've tried several times to get it to work, keeping a careful eye on the temperature, but nothing. (I tested some different yeast in the same way, and that was fine.) I suspect it's been damaged by being transported overseas (from Estonia), as it probably went under X-rays. The yeast package was also slightly open when it arrived, but I don't know if this damaged it. This wouldn't be such a bad thing if it had been cheap, but it wasn't.”

There are many different types of yeast and the powder we supply is inactive, best used as a flavouring or for its nutritional properties.
