“They are lovely but I found it quite difficult to open to put the light in.. I was terrified I would rip it . Some of my bulbs look dented”

Dear Karen, Thank you for your post and feedback. I am sorry that you were terrified of ripping the cotton when you inserted the LED lights - this would be quite hard to do but sometimes the slits on the balls need enlarging because the cotton balls are handmade and sometimes the hole is not wide enough for the LED light. (It is rare though.) You can usually remove a 'dent' in a ball by pulling gently on the LED disc once it is in place. “The lights arrived promptly and supberbly packaged. They look fantastic up in my son's room. I haven't awarded 5 stars as with of the 5 balls where the slit was small and it was very tricky to push the light in. Two of the colours were also slightly different to how they looked online. Other than that I am extremely happy with my purchase.”

Dear Rebecca, Thank you for your honest post and your lovely photo too. I am sorry that the slits on the balls needed enlarging - the cotton balls are handmade and sometimes the hole is not wide enough for the LED light. (It is rare though.) If you ever want any colour advice / to match fabrics / paints etc in future please do send us pics and we will do our best to recommend the closest colours as sometimes the balls can look slightly different in various lights. All the pictures of each colour that you can see on the website are photos of the balls and as true to the colour as possible. I am really glad that you like the end result so much! “Always easy and quick to place and receive orders, I now have 3 sets around the house. Love the new LED lights and USB Plugs (although the plugs were out of stock when I last ordered need to order again, oh no that will mean 4 sets !)”

“Love Cable & Cotton lights. We have 5 sets but can always find room for more in our period house. We sight ours on mantelpieces or hanging down dark corners. 3 of our children are smitten too. Your web sight is good and your service excellent. Can’t recommend you enough.”

Dear Anonymous, Thank you for your post - I am sorry you found the lights hard to assemble and that you had to use a knife to make the slots bigger. We do advise to use a small pair of sharp scissors to do this usually. The cotton balls are handmade and whilst the split is usually big enough next to the hole to accommodate the LED light disc, sometimes it has not been scored to the exact dimensions required. “The warm white isn’t as warm as I’d hoped! I have an older (non LED) set from yourselves which is much warmer.”

Dear Marie, Thank you for your feedback - the old style filament bulb cables are indeed a warmer off-white and we have made the new LEDs a warm off white rather than a very bright white (which LED lights usually are) to avoid glare. The disc design also means the light radiates out at @ 180 degrees rather than the piercing direct light usually emitted from LEDs. I do hope you get used to the new LEDs in time - certainly it depends on the colours used with them (i.e. paler colours let a lot more light through). Yours sincerely, Kate
