I am sorry that you feel we let you down on this occasion.
I would just like to highlight that it is not us that classes your address as 'Remote Scottish' but the courier service we use. I accept that we could use a service like Royal Mail, but they are more expensive in general and their list of prohibited items is vast and unfortunately includes many of the types of items listed on our website.
We are certainly not trying to rip anyone off as we do state that your postcode is classed as this on our Delivery/Returns information page which is available to read before you order.
The profit margins for online retailing are generally very small. We try and offer the products at the best prices we can and then add the delivery on top. We believe this to be the most transparent way of doing it. We cannot absorb all the delivery surcharges as we would often then make a loss which defeats the object of selling the item in the first place!
