“I lost a castor from the front of my wheelchair somewhere between Euston and the taxi rank. Searching did not find it and having travelled all the way from Scotland was a bit concerned I would be stuck in the hotel for the few days we were in London. Did a google search for wheelchair hire and was amazed to find quite a few companies. Phoned a couple but they were really nippy on the phone. Then I called wheel freedom. Billy was brilliant, even tried to get me a new wheel rather than hire a wheelchair. So impressed. A wheelchair arrived first thing the next morning and I got to do all the things we had planned. Delivery guy was really friendly too. Good value for money (and cheaper than the nippy people too). Well done guys, fabulous service and will use you again if I have any other breakdowns when in London. Fancy starting up in Scotland?”

“Beware of the terms and conditions. Even though you book it for a period of 2 weeks, you need to book a collection at the same time. If you don't, they will take another payment of 2 weeks. Its a rolling contract so why they ask for dates when you book it is beyond me. I feel sorry for elderly people (likely to be most of their user base!) who may not understand. Wont be using again, poor service.”

Please accept our apologies for any confusion or misunderstanding on how our hire works. We do ensure that this information is clearly presented on our website as well as the confirmation emails and paperwork that we send out for every order, but will review this again in light of your feedback. We offer our wheelchairs on an rolling contract as people hiring from us do not normally know how long their need will be for, particularly if recovering from injuries or illness. This allows you to keep the wheelchair as long or short as you want, without the hassle of having to contact us regularly to extend – instead, you simply need to contact us when finished with your wheelchair, and we can arrange collection for the next day. If your need is for a fixed period, you can contact us straight after ordering to book in a convenient collection date. If you would like to discuss this further, please call us on 0800 025 8005.

“The customer service was excellent and people on the other end of the phone very helpful. Delivery and pick up was very smooth and easy. The wheelchair was very suitable although a little heavier than I anticipated. I would certainly recommend the company although it was a little more expensive than I had thought it would be.”

“Having had an Achilles operation, I found using crutches was very difficult as I couldn’t put weight on my foot. I found the scooter on the web and ordered. Ordering and payment was very easy and great value for money. Within two days I had the scooter. It took a few minutes to assemble (very simple) and I started using it. Returning the scooter after use was equally as easy and it was quickly picked up. The company then refunded some monies for days I payed for but didn’t use. Great service and I would highly recommend.”

“The knee scooter was great after foot surgery - could get around so easily! Ordering was easy. Next day delivery. Returning was just as easy - quick phone call and everything was arranged. Would definitely recommend to anyone having a non-weight bearing procedure - don't struggle with crutches!!”

“What a great service! We needed a wheelchair to travel abroad for a week with my 84 year old mother-in-law. Very helpful staff assisted on the phone. The wheelchair arrived the next day. Very easy to use and comfortable. When we returned home we just rang Wheelfreedom who booked a next day collection. So simple.... Thankyou”
