“Neither my consultant or the nurses in the Day Surgery Unit had ever seen the knee scooter before. It deserves far wider publicity. Faced with the prospect of two weeks' complete bed rest after foot surgery, the scooter gave me the dignity of being able to get to the loo from the bedroom unaided, even on the first night home. Words cannot do the scooter justice in delivering independence and control in what were otherwise very limiting conditions. The pad is rather hard, but this is easily solved by tying on a small cushion. Similarly, with arthritic hands, the excellent (and tight) brakes were a little difficult to apply and release, but using both hands for each one in turn was the answer. The only problem with the knee scooter is it leads you to think you can do more than you should do, post-operatively, with the freedom it provides. Don't overdo things too soon, patience is a virtue! Can't thank Wheel Freedom enough.”

“I discovered you when looking for wheelchair hire in Scotland only to find that you were countrywide. “Fantastic service, delivering and collecting when promised. The knee scooter was so helpful after my bunion operation, particularly as things did not go according to plan and I was off my feet longer than I thought. I mainly used it around the house, as it helped me get from the couch to the loo, but also from the house to the car. Outside was more tricky, as the scooter can be unstable on uneven ground. I had hoped to scoot around outside more, but it only needed a slightly raised paving stone to stop it dead and turn the handlebars, so I decided against it.”

“This firm was recommended by an acquaintance who had used their knee scooter. I am so glad she told me about Wheel freedom: I had a leg in plaster for 7 weeks with no weight bearing. This little scooter made me mobile around the house and on very short outings. The lady I spoke to about hiring such a scooter was friendly, helpful and payment was explained. They arranged delivery as well as collection once I had finished using the scooter. I cannot recommend this firm highly enough. A really good experience!!”

“Excellent service. I have hired a folding wheelchair several times to help my father enjoy our family holidays. The chairs have been on planes, boats and over many cobblestones with no problems whatsoever. The delivery & collection services are very efficient, staff very helpful and we have found the flexible hire and billing arrangements really helpful. I would not hesitate to recommend this firm.”
