“I had the option via the NHS Choose & Book service, of being seen at the Westbourne Centre. I must admit first impressions are so important. Mine was being 'welcomed' by an officious member of reception staff who made it quite clear I needed to wear a mask and sanitise my hands! This despite her and her colleague sitting behind a screen without a mask. As if this was not bad enough, I found the building far too oppressive with heating on what felt like, full blast. The initial consultation came through within three weeks and I saw Feriern Wu. He took time to examine my hand and explained the case for surgery. I had surgery at the end of February. After being greeted civilly at Reception, the whole process from explanation of what would happen during surgery, the surgery itself and after care felt very thorough and professional from surgeons and nursing staff alike.”

“I have nothing but praise for the Centre save for an unanswered phone call from a nurse during the week before my review appointment with surgeon Mr. Wevill; it did not matter as it transpired but I would probably otherwise have gone for a five star rating.”
