An engaging, fun and well paced session resulting in all children being involved in a performance which they really enjoyed. I really enjoyed how each classes work came together to create a retelling of A Midsummer Night’s Dream.

We had an excellent day. Jimmy involved every child in the school and they were all completely engaged. The performance at the end of the day was fantastic and extremely well organised. We would definitely use West End in Schools again. Thank you.

Amy, our visiting dancer, inspired many of our tricky to reach pupils to engage with the session. The storytelling through dance and expression really helped pupils to explore the story in a creative way. Looking forward to see what we can try next.

Sarah came in to our school and delivered a brilliant programme on 'Where The Wild Things Are.' It was differentiated for all ages, and the children, from EYFS to Year 6, were actively engaged in the storytelling. Each class has used it as inspiration for pieces of writing, which have been some of the best produced all year. There introductory assembly and sharing session were a great way to inspire the children and then celebrate the work they had done that day. Thank you!

Our children had a wonderful day! They experienced Shakespearean language and themes at an accessible level - giving them a positive first taste of Shakespeare. The structure of the day was well organised and the final performance was very effective. A great day was had by all! Lucy was brilliant. Thank you WEIS.

A fabulous opportunity for children to explore text using a range of theatre techniques. An experienced workshop leader ensured our children got the very best from the session. We would highly recommend West End.

Very positive feedback received from staff and pupils in both schools. Enthusiastic teachers delivered the workshops, engaging all the children really well (despite some background noise taking place from builders in the Junior School!) Thank you!

Diana worked wonders with the children, producing a creative, coherent play, involving six classes and over 150 pupils, in just one day! It was fantastic to see the pupils growing in confidence within the 30-minute workshops and all being able to stand up, with conviction, to perform their lines in the end of day performance. The children certainly have a good understanding of a Midsummer Night's Dream because of this - a greta introduction to Shakespeare. Thank you!

The leader was very lively and kept the student's attention well, especially during the brief outline of 'A Midsummer Night's Dream' and used students well. There were plenty of giggles and horror as she paired the pairs of main characters who suddenly realised what they were actually acting out! The students worked through short sections of the play with a PowerPoint background and interacted with pre-recorded narration. By the end of the day they acted out a short scene.

West End in Schools visited our school as part of our World Book Day celebrations. Reception and Year 1 thoroughly enjoyed the role play linked to The Gruffalo and Year 2 had a wonderful time being introduced to Mr Twit in preparation for the English work the following week. Our facilitator Lee was great and really new how to relate to and work with all the children involved. We had a fantastic couple of days.

We had 2 fantastic days with Cat. She was brilliant with the children - so enthusiastic and encouraging. All children from Reception to Year 6 took part in a workshop and performed the play at the end of the day. Lots of great feedback from staff too, saying how engaged their classes were. Thanks so much!

We had a fantastic visit from West End Schools! Tom did a brilliant job engaging all our children with A Midsummer Nights Dream, in workshops, from Year R up to Year 6 and we were so impressed with what the children achieved in a day. Children loved it and teachers came up and said what a brilliant experience it was. We’d thoroughly recommend it!

We (children and adults) have had the most brilliant day with Kat! All the children, including those with SEN, were made to feel like a vital part of the A Midsummer Night's Dream production. The children enjoyed every second acting their scene out and were enthused watching the other year groups preform. This may become an annual event.

What a great way to bring books to life in Book Week! Even after several workshops, Christine was animated, enthusiastic and energetic, and she totally engaged the children as 'Wild Things', as they told the story through dance. Thank you for a fun and interactive way to motivate and involve children in literature.

Hello, I just wanted to send you all a quick message to say that we have had the best day with Hannah, here at Felsted. The children absolutely loved their assembly and workshops. I have had extremely positive feedback from all members of staff. Hannah engaged every single child and pitched each session brilliantly from Reception to Year 2. Thank you so so much for coming and giving us such a fun day of dancing! We would love to have you back to work with the children at Felsted. Thank you again for being so inspiring! Katie
