The language was a little advanced for the children (year 1) and more visuals would have been helpful. Overall great - well worth booking.”

“Julia came today in the wind and rain to not so sunny Portsmouth with cheer and jy to deliver our Diwali Dance Workshops for our Year R children. The children were in awe and listened expectantly as Julia retold the story of Rama and Sita, and taught them moves for the different characters allowing self expression when choosing their own animals, she talked at their level and was so animated in her delivery the children were completely engaged from the moment they came into the hall. Brilliant workshop, thank you Julia and West End in schools you were awesome. Mrs Thomas Year R and PE Lead at Court Lane Infants School”

“What a fantastic day the children had, across all ages. Each child learnt the story of Rama and Sita with the dance to accompany it, so it helped learn the story in a creative and fun way. “We were really impressed with how interactive the anti-bullying drama workshop was. It allowed our children to think deeply about real-life responses to bullying and allowed them to put their learning into context in a fun way. One of the girls, came away saying, "Never judge a book by its cover.". After the workshop, our children were inspired to embrace difference. One of the girls, came away saying, "Never judge a book by its cover."”

“We took part in the Diwali workshop. This is the third time we have had this workshop and it never disappoints. Olli, the workshop leader knew exactly what he was doing and he was confident working with the children. The children were really engaged and enthusiastic. They all listened and responded to Olli's questions and they loved performing their dance at the end of the session.”

“We all had a lovely afternoon at the workshop. The Teacher for this afternoons session was fabulous 🙂 However, I did find that the children were sat down for quite a while and some of the instructions were a little tricky to understand. In future we could possibly condense the session and make the instructions a little easier.”

“Children really enjoyed the drama aspect of the story and were all engaged. Pitched at the appropriate level and was overall a good experience. It would be nice if he could have perhaps had some props to show what he was talking about e.g. the diva lamps. We looked at pictures of these on Google when the children were back in the classroom.”
