“Ordered a replacement set of washers (valve ‘felts’) to do my annual maintenance. New springs, felts, valve guides are now ready to be installed with a good polishing! Perhaps list these type items on the website would make it easier to order?”

“I started playing in 5th grade and I'm 69 now. I have owned 3 baritone's, and 2 euphonium's and played several barrowed horns. The Sinfonico is the best horn I've ever owned.”

“My son bought a bass trombone from Wessex at the Tuba/Euphonium event at ASU last week. He talked with the technicians beforehand to ensure the instruments he was interested in would be there, we made a choice and got to pay the owner of the company directly. We appreciate their assistance in navigating this connection. My son is practicing away as I type— and anything that promotes practice gets a 5 star rating from me! Thanks!”

“Wessex Tubas was extremely helpful in acquiring this euphonium. Special thanks to Steve Dixon. I cannot give any credit to UPS on the delivery, however. I am supposed to receive it today (?). Wessex is great!”

“I am very happy with the .460 bore Wessex C Trumpet. It fills an important gap in my trumpet herd. This Wessex has a nice sound, great pitch, even scale, and projects well. I have toured Europe using the Wessex Bb and will be touring again soon using these nice sounding trumpets. Audiences response was that these trumpets have a warm sound.”

“Wessex quality really does seem to be a notch above other Chinese horns. The Festivo euphonium I received is stunningly beautiful and sounds incredible. Pity it’s not the finish I ordered, and they still haven’t figured out valve cap threads. Also they do not respond to emails.”

“Received my new baritone on time as promised. It’s a lovely instrument with a beautiful tone. I love the fast valve action too. It has a genuine solid, quality feel to it. All the staff I dealt with at the office both here in the UK and the US were very very helpful, professional and friendly. I am delighted with my purchase and equally delighted with the service provided by the Wessex team!”

“Although I returned the trombone because it did not suit me. The instrument was in perfect condition and played well but its timbre was unsuitable for in a wind band context. WESSEX Tubas is a great company to deal with. They sent me a return label as soon as I requested a return. I recommend WESSEX are a great company to deal with.”

“My order showed up in perfect fashion, just a day later than expected. It appears to have sat in Portland for 3 days before it arrived. Would have liked to have been able to get a timely update from DHL.”

“Solid Eb/D Trumpet, especially for the price. As someone who is just starting on Eb/D, I didn't want to spend thousands of dollars on a horn, but so far I have been very pleased with the Wessex.”

“The tuba arrived a week after the order was placed. The valves are a little stiff when the case was opened, and all but first valve came back to full motion in a matter of minutes. I will need to work on that one more to get full motion. The tone and ease of playing right out of the case were great. Looking forward to using the full range once the valve issue is fixed.”

“The craftmanship on the finish of my new double horn is outstanding. However, I am having a lot of trouble getting the horn to play up to pitch on concert F using Trigger (3rd space C). It is around 40 cents flat with the main tuning slide all the way in. When trying to lip it up...it is on the very top of the partial and makes it very difficult to get a good sound. I even tried the Wessex stock mouthpiece and it made no difference. The tone is excellent....but the intonation tendencies are problematic. I am hoping a solution comes soon because I do not want to return the horn.”
