“Really pleased with this company. The prices offered aren't great but what do you expect. But there system actually works and a real live human being picks up the phone if you have a query. And they're helpful, eg they retrospectively applied a voucher code when I couldn't see where to enter it on the app. The only downside is that their preferred carrier Hermes is not that great.”

“Webuybooks is a great platform for selling books but I have experienced 2 issues using them. Firstly the prices can differ between using the app and inputting them online.Online being the one paying more. Secondly...the courier used (Hermes/Evri) have either not picked up my boxes or have lost them en route multiple times leaving the process to be dragged out.”

“So being a regular user of these sorts of apps, I can say we buy books is definitely one of the best, it has an easy to use app and process. I use a drop off point (evri) I print my labels there which is brilliant. And they have the quickest payout compared to music magpie and ziffit. I've made nearly £200 so far.”

“Good - is easy and straightforward to use, especially with the barcode scanner. Simple to package and arrange collection Money paid quickly Not so good - the range of books 'bought' is really small (less than one in ten), and there doesn't seem to have any rhyme or reason as to what will sell. Some of the prices paid are literally pence...”

Although we try to accept as many items as possible, this decision is based on supply/demand in the market as well as our current inventory levels. We typically advise that items relating to cookery, arts, history, travel and education may be more likely to be accepted. “The selling of some of my books was very easy and straightforward from beginning to end. Slight problem getting the labels as I have no printer. Otherwise, process quick, collected on time and payment in my bank the week after.”
