“Total time wasters. They are unprofessional and don’t offer to pay you what they offer when they’re just trying to get you done to their location. They make you an offer to get you there and then just make you a stupid offer. Shouldn’t be allowed.”

“My car was immaculate with new MOT. On inspection they knocked a further £610 off their rather low online valuation with no explanation. And forgot to mention the £100 admin fee. The worst possible way to sell a car.”

“I spent 65 minutes in my car with an employee. I was quoted online but when I arrived and after a thorough inspection, he said the price had dropped by £800 after speaking with his manager. He said the quote is dependant on other factors and yet he said my car was in pristine condition. He even asked if I had the car cover coated as it's in excellent condition. He left promptly when I didn't accept the sham of an offer. It felt as thought I was close to being conned.”

“Customer service is Non existent, There is no way of contacting them over the phone and emails just get ignored, This company really do operate on hidden Agendas, They give you an inflated online valuation, Then when you turn up they offer you less for your vehicle, They fail to do their due diligence/checks properly. You are not given the full details just A fairy tale version Which they leave out crucial information. Then they decline to go through with the sale With an excuse Saying there is an issue with the valuation and will offer you alot The day after you have signed your car away and leave you with No Money No Car And Nobody to talk to, Then they take your car away And when you ask for it back they make you wait weeks to return it, They drive it back from where ever it was taken and the V5 is no longer in your Name And your car has been devalued due to extra miles on the clock and now 2 MORE OWNERS ON V5. Your car is brought back stinking dirty, Damaged with no Fuel In It Weeks later and No Apology or offer to cover your loses AND YOU WILL HAVE LOST MONEY. THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT CUSTOMERS JUST HOW MUCH PROFIT THEY CAN MAKE OFF YOU. If you use this company to sell to, GOOD LUCK It will leave you feeling that you have been taken advantage of. Please look online for all the dodgy reviews and broken codes of practice. Just be aware nobody cares in the industry Either, CAB, Trading standards, motoring Ombudsman YOU WILL NOT GET ANYWHERE AND THEY KNOW IT AND EXPLOIT THIS FACT.”

“The Newcastle branches manager is a bully towards her staff (Cheryl). Multiple staff are unhappy but scared to say anything. My partner raised his complaint to her manager and she then got him fired by her "reviews" as his line manager - Making sure he failed his probation. She made him feel guilty for having D&V - forcing him to come in when unwell - risking spreading it to other vulnerable people. He was so nervous to contact her again for emergency leave that I had to go through a miscarriage in hospital on my own whilst he was at work because he feared to loose his job. Multiple episodes of abuse of power. We have now gone to ACAS due to this and multiple other instances. This woman is somehow protected by her higher management even though she is abusing her power and not fit for a managerial role.”

“We attended the We Buy any Car Maidstone site for a face to face valuation following an online estimated valuation. Predictably after a cursory look at the car (less than a couple of minutes) the quote given was £1500 less than the online valuation. However, I was expecting this and this was not my main issue with the experience. The problem was with the company employee who introduced himself as the area manager. From the beginning his attitude was rude, arrogant and condescending. I was spoken to as if I was stupid, and even though he failed to explain clearly exactly what price he was quoting, when I dared to ask a question, waa told 'I just told you that' He showed not the slightest interest in buying the car, and said 'you'll always get more at a main dealer.' I felt he wanted details that were none of his business, such as pushing for information about the price of the car we wanted to buy. The whole experience left me feeling angry and frustrated, not to do with the price but the terrible attitude of your employee. Due to this experience I would never go to webuyanycar again.”

“My experience with this company leaves a lot to be desired. On the 31st Jan 2024 I attended a 09-20 appointment at the Green Oaks Shopping outlet Widnes . The salesman told me not to worry about the parking fee as the company would sort that out, so I didn't pay the fee ,stupid I know a man in his 70s should of known better . On leaving the unsuccessful valuation the salesman reiterated not to worry about the fee. Needless to say I got fined £100 with a £60 early settlement fine avoiding the £100. I've tried to contact this company at 4 or 5 occasions, to no avail ,the messages all being replied to automatically, So not a company I would ever deal with again. You live and learn it cost me £50.”

“This company initially gives you a reasonable valuation online in order to tempt you to sell to them. However, when you take it to one of their outlets they pick the vehicle to bits and find anything to offer you significantly less. What a wasted afternoon.. In the end I sold my car through 'Motorway.co.uk' who gave me significantly more for it and collected it from my house. They didn't even charge me for a same day payment transfer as webuyanycar were proposing.. Webuyanycar offered me £7900 but I sold it through Motorway.co.uk for £11,750!! I would advise anyone wishing to sell your vehicle to check out Motorway.co.uk if you feel you are not getting the true value.”

“Careful people, We Buy *ANY* Car, not only do they rip you off, they take the car off you without checking the paperwork, due diligence doesn’t even feature, my evil ex wife, out of hate for me, sold MY car to those cowboys and they gave her a fraction of its worth, she gave an old V5 with her name on it and walked away (she paid extra to receive the payment faster too!!), let me be clear, I was the registered keeper and owner of my vehicle at the time she sold it! This is FRAUD! Did they care, absolutely not!!! when I found out this had happened behind my back, I made contact with the Plympton team who were less than helpful. I will be taking this further, this unethical business should not be allowed to trade.”
