In my opinion the initial price offered is inflated so that you make an appointment, my valuation on her 18 month old car reduced significantly upon arrival the following day, that’s before further reductions for very insignificant cosmetic defects. The assessor told us that he had to find a minimum of five stone chips, this was a real struggle! The service wasn’t very polished frankly.

The guy was pleasant and nice enough, however.. webuyanycar are generally a disgrace as a company. Unless your car is MINT and in showroom condition forget about getting what they quote! My car was only four years old and in amazing condition, obviously as it was four years old there are going to be very NORMAL signs that it’s not brand spanking new, my value was £8765 , already reduced as I amended the condition to say it had only part service history, that whacked off £200. On viewing they dropped it to £8075 saying it had scratches and chips in the paint, it was NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR teeny tiny dots made from DRIVING THE CAR for four years, durrrr. I said no chance then he said ok, I will give you back 25%. Ridiculous and very unfair practices.

Was quote almost 4 times what I received, even during the phone call prior to selling there was no mention that I was not going to get what I was quoted, very misleading

Anything to take value of the car.

Was disappointed with the knowledge of the gentleman at the site we sold our car to. A little more training required in terms of procedures when settling outstanding finance.

Process was very good. Deducting £ 100 as I couldn’t get to WBAC within 4 day’s wasn’t. Also deducted £200 because the mileage reading was out by a couple of thousand miles. Then another 300 pounds for “marks” on a near perfect 10 year old car. If I had more time I would have walked away 20% reduction of offered price ! But did get money within 2 hours. Two plus so 2 stars.

Rotten but necessary sometimes.

The price from we buy any car was good but some of the comments from the individual were not necessary.

I was assured that the price quoted on the website was firm for 4 days. However the starting price with the advisor was £700 below and was told that the market for my vehicle had changed. The helpful adviser agreed the car was in a good condition but could only increase the system price by +£215. I ended up £500 below the on line quote. So don't believe the 4 day price quote.

Because staff did not have a computer the time to process my car was more than 1 hour. The poor member of staff photographed my licence and on 3 seperate occasions due the slowness of his tablet.. It was a very stressful experience

Offer went from 1,200 to £800 which was a third less but had arranged a lift so took it.

The experience was good in some respects except when I had a very anxious two days. After agreeing the sale on a Friday I was promised that the funds would be in my account by the following Monday. The funds had not arrived on the Tuesday morning, but when I enquired about this I was told that the funds had been credited. It took several emails for the money to finally arrive in the account and no explanation or apology.

I thought I had been pretty honest when inserting all information on-line regarding service history, damage to car eg scratches, dints, chips etc on the information required. After inputting these items via the on-line quotation portal they only sent the price down by a few pounds. But when the car was given the once over by the WBAC valuer, she found a 'bit' of rust on the car door and for that the price went down £150. I did question it and asked how that could be and if I had put the flagged the rust (which I hadn't even noticed) via the on-line portal would the price had shot down so much? I did sell to WBAC as was picking up another car straight away but its left a very sour taste. Don't mind selling to these sites but hate knowing I'm being totally ripped off.

Service was professional and quick, but I was disappointed with the fact that the price offered was a third of the online quotation, for a car that had full service history, MOT, manual, quoted mileage, 2 keys, spare tyre and only small surface scratches and no damage. I took the offer as I had run down the petrol (obviously) and made arrangements to get home (30 miles away) otherwise I'd have gone elsewhere.

Tricky! initially high car value to attract customers! The real valuation they offer is low! Difficult to understand. The service at the office is very good.

I asked for the number off my V5 but was refused
Helpful Report
Hi there, Thanks for leaving your feedback, we really appreciate it. We have an automated process in place for notifying the DVLA so if this is why you had asked for the number on your V5, this is why we wouldn't need to give this information to our customers. As long as the V5 we have been provided is the latest copy, we will automatically advise the DVLA of the sale via their online portal, the day after the sale has been completed. So no further action is required from yourself. This in turn will automatically prompt the DVLA into refunding any unused road tax back to previous keeper or cancelling an existing direct debit. Thanks, The WBAC Team
Feels like they dangle the carrot to get you in to sell the car and then offer you way lower than predicted. But then you are in a position where you have no choice but to sell at that ridiculously low price - disappointing

Hi there, Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. I'm sorry to hear that you were disappointed with your experience. We apologise for any disappointment caused. This certainly wasn’t our intention. Please note that your valuation would only ever change at your appointment if you’re outside of your 4-day Price Promise, or if there are discrepancies between the way that you described your car online and the car itself, found at your appointment. This could include missing components, damages or discrepancies with mileage, previous owners or service history, for example. Such factors may impact the value of your car and as such, we would need to record this and amend your valuation accordingly, which we’re sure you can appreciate. We’re really sorry if the amount offered wasn’t what you had hoped for. With that said, we do offer a no obligation service, meaning if there’s any aspect of the service, that isn’t right for you, you’re under no obligation to sell to us. Thanks, The WBAC Team
The email valuations I was getting for weeks was £2500. After my car exceeded the guy’s expectations as it was immaculate and couldn’t be faulted I was offered £2050. Apparently this is because the higher value is the ‘online valuation’ when visiting a centre that’s different?? Easy process and nice guy but the whole pricing thing is a con

Knocked off 750 for a few stone chips where as the car was very good condition

The customer service aspect was fine. On the MOT record search a discrepancy between two MOT'S was shown which your representative agreed could only be a data entry error, however because of this £200 was deducted. When the cause was so obvious it seemed like a reason to reduce payment.
