“I had made a booking yesterday, provided payment details etc. we were looking forward to going for a long weekend this Friday . We had booked our leave, planned each day, only to receive a call this morning to be told that we can't go after all due to a double booking. Very disappointing!”

Dear Mrs Dhatt - We are really very sorry that this mix up occurred and we are very upset for you. We had taken your booking in good faith and held the property with the owners directly. However an error in their booking system had double booked this lodge which was the last one left available and we only made aware of this after you had booked everything. It was totally out of our control and sadly there was nothing we could do resolve this unfortunate situation or find any alternative suitable options. “The lady on the phone was lovely very polite and courteous when I actually booked and paid for the break. However I had an email confirming my booking addressed to a Mrs Lane . I sent a return email explaining I was concerned about the confirmation being in the wrong name but with the correct address. The return email was very curt and stated that the fax received from waterside breaks said I was Lane, and it will be changed.”

All our booking information we had was all in your correct name and so too the confirmation sent our from ourselves was correct too. We have no idea how the booking details were accidentally sent out in the wrong name from the owners directly but of course we will look into that and we apologise for the error that occurred and the curt response you have received. “After completing the initial booking form online, I was called within a couple of minutes to discuss and confirm my requirements. Everything about the holiday property and associated charges was explained very clearly and I was able to confirm the booking and make payment immediately. I was advised that I would receive the appropriate confirmation emails which arrived within the hour. The experience was so clear and easy and I now look forward to my holiday.”
