“Be better when making enquiries whether by email or telephone to be told of additional security deposit. Do not understand why security deposit (Returnable) is taken at the time of booking when the holiday is over 6 weeks away should be taken on arrival ?? Paid an extra 2% credit card charge on the £75.00 do I get this back too £1.50 ??”

Dear Mrs Ford - Many thanks for your comments regarding the refundable security deposit for your stay at Peninsula Cottages in Wroxham. About 50% of the owners we work with have such a security deposit in place to ensure their properties are returned as they should be but many of them do not have a facility to take monies on arrival like hotels can when they check in. The details of the security deposit are included in the property description on our website and this is also explained at time of booking. Unfortunately credit card charges are those charged by the credit card company at 2% and all credit card transactions are levied at this rate so these charges are extended on by the owners. We are unable to do anything about this I am afraid. We would be happy to discuss with you anytime and in the meantime wish you a lovely holiday at Peninsula Cottages. Regards Waterside Breaks
