Water butt arrived in good condition two days after ordering. Positioning and connecting was easy but, as others have said, the tap hole was not cleaned out properly and when the tap was screwed in tight enough not to leak it was upside down. Fortunately I had another rubber washer that added allowing the tap to tighten facing down.

Terrific water butt for so little money, my brother installed it for me without any issues!

water butts, in total, purchased from Water Butts Direct, cannot complain.

Easy to order new water butt and good quality however wrong colour butt was delivered - has since been replaced by correct colour.

Just what we wanted. Looks good and is doing the job well. Would recommend.

Quick delivery, a little part was missing and this was rectified by return post.

Paul in the sales team could not have been more helpful. Everything arrived as predicted and is excellent. Thanks very much.

The butt was delivered with the instructions soaking wet and I had to carefully unfold and dry them out. The plastic bung to the planter disappeared down into the butt as I prised it open. Can't get it out as there is no access into the butt. Because of this, the instructions for attaching the divertor to the butt do not make sense, as they do not recognise this lack of access. With this problem, I have not yet taken the risk of installing the diverter to either the butt or the downpipe as I fear that if it does not work as it should, I could have a big problem with overflowing, or having to replace my 2 storey rainwater downpipe. It is much more attractive than my much cheaper, rather ugly, water butt but the diverter on this was easier to install and it was easier to check that the levels required for the system to work properly were correctly balanced.

Prompt delivery via DPD, thank you. First impression is a good strong construction with the tap position slightly higher than the competition in a well formed curved area of plastic. Ward who I have used for years persistently fail around the tap which sits in a formed recess with lots of hard edges which always crack & start leaking - same comment for Blackwall butts which we have also stopped using. My only reservation is that the hole, in your product for the tap, is threaded, even though your instruction sheet refers to an option with a plain hole & a backnut(which is what I normally use - I prefer a brass tap). It took me a lot of faffing about to get either your tap, or my brass one, straight using washers as packers from my own stock. I have revisited your website and I can find no option for ordering a butt with an unthreaded hole for the tap. Also, the end of the formed housing beyond the thread had not been fully removed and would have acted as a flap to slow the water flow. I had to go into the butt to cut it free.

Good sales team response and product but website cumbersome

Contacted customer service as water butt had not arrived, said they were having problems with their carrier, ask them to phone them but unable to, they would email, still not heard anything, ill probably cancel and reorder with someone else, disappointed

Choosing from a wide selection was good - however delivery was delayed by your agent - I stayed in for two days with no delivery as had been promised. Third time lucky

I bought the whole kit therefore I need a hole for the hose. I find it a bit annoying that i have source a 27mm drill before I can assemble and use it. A bit penny pinching.

Very pleased with the water butt. Delivered in good time in a large box. My only negative observation would be that all the pre-drilled holes for the fixings had not been cleared of the large ragged edges on the inside of the holes making it impossible to seal the fixings, consequently had to spend time clearing the holes inside the water butt. Not very professional.

I am very happy with my purchase. A good strong, well made water butt which I envisage will last many years. Good updates and delivery from the company.

Quick delivery and good quality. Very pleased 👍

It's not the prettiest of water butts and a bit of a stretch to say it looks just like terracotta, but it does the job.
