“Pleasant and friendly over the phone and product looks good though not tested it yet. We Bly slight issue was to do with delivery hence my phone call to them.”

“The Water Butt arrived in 3 days and all is fine. Like others have mentioned the tap would have leaked badly with the washer supplied, so I fitted it with plumbers PTFE tape. It would have been good if Water Butt's Direct had sent an acknowledgement of the payment as one expects that today.”

“Really love design and colour, marred only by slight damage near top. Maybe done in transit as just wrapped in plastic no bubble wrap or from factory !!!! who knows”

“Nice design and came very quickly from Water Butts Direct. Please with theior service aned value for money. However when I screwed in the tap it leaked at the joint. I had not crossed the thread or overtightened it. I had to drain down the water from the butt and remove the tap, re-sealing it with PTFE tape, which worked a treat.”

“Bought a second butt for extra storage after being very pleased with first. Only complaint was securing nut for pipe union seemed a little oversize and did not tighten completely but should be fine and could be remeded with some sealant if necessary.”

“Water butt arrived in good condition two days after ordering. Positioning and connecting was easy but, as others have said, the tap hole was not cleaned out properly and when the tap was screwed in tight enough not to leak it was upside down. Fortunately I had another rubber washer that added allowing the tap to tighten facing down.”

“Prompt delivery via DPD, thank you. First impression is a good strong construction with the tap position slightly higher than the competition in a well formed curved area of plastic. Ward who I have used for years persistently fail around the tap which sits in a formed recess with lots of hard edges which always crack & start leaking - same comment for Blackwall butts which we have also stopped using. My only reservation is that the hole, in your product for the tap, is threaded, even though your instruction sheet refers to an option with a plain hole & a backnut(which is what I normally use - I prefer a brass tap). It took me a lot of faffing about to get either your tap, or my brass one, straight using washers as packers from my own stock. I have revisited your website and I can find no option for ordering a butt with an unthreaded hole for the tap. Also, the end of the formed housing beyond the thread had not been fully removed and would have acted as a flap to slow the water flow. I had to go into the butt to cut it free.”

“I bought the whole kit therefore I need a hole for the hose. I find it a bit annoying that i have source a 27mm drill before I can assemble and use it. A bit penny pinching.”

“Very pleased with the water butt. Delivered in good time in a large box. My only negative observation would be that all the pre-drilled holes for the fixings had not been cleared of the large ragged edges on the inside of the holes making it impossible to seal the fixings, consequently had to spend time clearing the holes inside the water butt. Not very professional.”

“Good Butt, good Stand, good butt link but could do better with instructions. Link intructions say put the locking nut inside the Butt but this would be foolish as the spouts would be inside the Butts. The child-proof lid was Adult-proof until I discovered I had it back to front - no instructions there.”

“We found the plastic extremely difficult to cut to match the pipe size & the inside of the butt had piece's of plastic left on around the inside of the butt. All the cutting took a very long time!! Otherwise ok.”
