“The water butt was delivered after pre-ordering, so took a while to come, but turned up unexpectedly early on a Saturday morning without warning. So a message the day before would have been useful. The water butt itself is good quality and I managed to hook it up to a downpipe without too many problems. Thanks.”

“Bought an Urn style water butt with a pocket for growing plants. It has installed quite easily although I discovered that when the tap runs dry there is still around 50L of water in it. I have also stood it on a 50mm stand so that the drain valve does not scrape the floor and we can get our largest watering can underneath. If you want to use a kit to extract from a downpipe buy it with the water butt as the spare I had from the hardware store did not fit.”

“Hard to be sure which water butt stand to buy for our ten year old water butt - the stand for which was starting to break up. But this one seemed the nearest in size and as it turns out it has done well. The new stand fits the old butt and seems to be the right height. Don't think we need to mess about with the input trap on the down pipe.”

“Very pleased with the water butt and have fitted it into place without difficulty. I was a bit concerned about communication as I had to chase the order having not received it or heard nothing after 3 weeks. The issue was resolved very quickly after that however.”

“Order and delivery was very efficient. Only issue was the connection hose required the correct size drill bit. This was OK for me, but for some, this would require an extra purchase. Would be helpful to have this hole predrilled with a cover cap for the unused side. Not WaterButts fault, but the empty butt does not stand up in any wind and I’ve had to purchase strapping to tie it back to the house!”

“Pre ordered the butt and would have liked an email when it was dispatched. The rain trap instructuons were easy to follow but it was almost impossible to attach the hose to the rain trap and only slightly easier to attach it to the water butt.”

“It is what it is - a water butt, a stand, a tap and a diverter. Simple to install. It works well. If I was to ask for an improvement, I would request that they include a sealable hole in the stand that I could pour sand to add weight to the legs for stability and strength.”

“If we get enough rain to fill it, this butt should make all my vegetables better than they were in last year's hot, dry summer. I have difficulty in reaching the spring to open the lid as my fingers are not long enough, but a trowel should help.”
