Dear Vanita, We are sorry that your experience has led you to leaving this review. You are correct in what you say regarding Vufold not accepting your return, we did try to explain our reasons in our previous communications, and we will try to add further clarity to this in our response below. Your order was dispatched from our warehouse and we did not receive notification of any damages until over 3 weeks following delivery. The image of the damage supplied appeared to show impact marks. We do have a 72 hour policy in place for checking of the goods and reporting any missing or damaged items, due to the length of time since receipt of your order to reporting the damage, we cannot accept any claims for damages of this nature. We did offer to review the costings on a replacement door for you. Regarding your cancellation request, from receipt of an order placed online or over the telephone, all customers have 14 days in which to notify us in writing if they wish to cancel their order and then 14 days from this date to return the goods to us. Unfortunately your request to cancel your order fell outside of this timescale. I am sorry if our handling of your query did not meet your expectations and please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused. Kind regards Vufold

“Great product fairly simple to install shame delivery was short of hardware re delivered thenmissing door handles all sorted by James annoyed that I had to go out and get some more screws to finish install though. quality of finished product is excellent.”

“Very good all arrived as requested,checked and everything was correct and no damage. The carpenter who fitted them found them very easy to install The only reason I gave them 4 stars is could of been a bit easier to adjust.”

“The purchase of the doors from Vufold could only be described as seamless. On receiving the doors. its obvious that every effort is made to ensure that the packaging provides excellent protection. It's also noteworthy to say how good the delivery company were at ensuring the doors were unloaded and set down with great care. Due to current circumstances related to Covid 19, our project is running behind schedule. As of time of writing, and as per Vufold T&C, I have treated the entire framework and doors with three coats of varnish ready for installation once that point is reached. One thing that can be said is the quality of the doors and materials is in no doubt. Once varnished, It's hard to believe that such quality, solidity and fixtures can be provided at the invoiced price. We look forward to seeing both framework and doors become a natural light oak feature of our new extension. Vufold should be congratulated on the quality of their manufacturing, sales and delivery to customer process.”

“One door was delivered damaged and one door lock didn't work. Promised call from locksmith didn't arrive so I fixed it myself. It turned out to be an imcorrectly maqchined door and not the lock causing the problem. I received a call from a locksmith 10 days later. I hoped the two hours I spent fixing the lock and the delay caused by the damaged door might produce a discout or small refund, but none offered.. So generally poor service.”

Dear Mr Askew, We are sorry to read your review and to discover you feel dissatisfied with our service after all the lengths we went to in respect of the difficulties you experienced. You are quite right in that one of the doors was delivered damaged. Although you did not report it when taking delivery of the door sets and later stated that you had signed for them without conducting a check, we accepted that they had been damaged in transit and instantly offered to replace the door. Although you initially rejected our offer of a replacement, our records show that as soon as you agreed, one was delivered to you three working days later. As we stressed at the time, we were and are very sorry that the original door did not arrive in perfect condition and once we saw the level of damage, irrespective of the fact that you wanted to try and repair it yourself, we were quite insistent that the best option was for us to replace the door free of charge. In respect of the second matter you raised, it was very unfortunate that the problem with the lock was reported to us on a Bank Holiday Friday. This made getting in touch with the lock manufacturer very difficult, and then finding the time to attend to your issue would be very pressured. We did request an urgent call out and as far as we were aware, the lock maker’s engineer was going to contact you directly. On the very next working day we contacted you again to make sure the engineer had made contact, at which point you informed us that you had resolved the issue yourself. In your original contact about this matter, you were quite adamant that the problem lay with the lock and / or the keys to the lock. However, your review seems to suggest that you changed your mind and believed the door itself was in fact the problem. As you carried out a repair to the door yourself and the engineer did not attend to inspect it, we have no way of knowing what the problem was, how it occurred and who was responsible for it. As such, we believe that we did all we could and should have done in this situation. Again, we are sorry for the less than perfect experience you have had, we always strive to ensure our customers are totally happy. If they are not, we will do all that we can within our responsibilities to rectify the matter, which is what we believe we did here. Kind regards Vufold

“Small split in door 2. Could not open product in 3 days of delivery. We should be told on ordering that that is the case. Instructions good and apart from split product very good. Very good help when ordering.”

We are sorry to hear this. Having located your order, we can see you did make contact with our aftercare team in April and reported a scratch to a frame section. As the scratch was not reported until 2 weeks after taking delivery and after the installation had also been completed, unfortunately it made it very difficult to establish where the issue occurred. We do advise to check all items for any missing or damaged parts and report any anomalies to us within a specific time frame, and before commencing the installation. We did offer advice on how to resolve the issue and we are sorry if this did not meet your expectations. You also reported that you were unhappy with the external facing door gasket arrangement due to them having a separate corner section. Whilst your feedback is very important to us and we are sorry that you were unhappy with this, the doors are fitted with this type of corner gasket as it creates a much better external weather seal. Once again we are sorry to hear of your disappointment and please do not hesitate to contact a member of the aftercare team should you require any further assistance. Kind regards Vufold
