“called several times to update on order - very clear about delivery dates, very polite and efficient. Only point to make is that the delivery drivers were in a massive hurry so there is NO WAY I could check the delivery before they left and the doors are being fitted in a week so hope there is no damage...”

Thank you for your kind feedback. I do apologise, our 2 man home delivery service should allow time for our customers to check the condition of the packages, regardless. We do however allow a full 72 hours after delivery, for our customers to open all their packages, check for any damages or missing parts and report them to Vufold.

“Comms good and delivery team excellent. To be expected to check for missing parts within 72 hours is asking too much considering all the tiny parts involved especially as in our case you were not fitting immediately. As other reviewers have said, it is a competent DIY'er skill level but again as others have said the instructions could be better. Certain stages require some working out on your own and pictures and parts have changed and are out of date and should be updated as soon as possible. Couple of snags with ours, frame jam should have been pre drilled with four holes on two corners but ours only had two. One of the stickers on door 2 I think for drilling depending on how it opened was in the wrong place by around 5mm, fortunately the other two marks were good for the door to align. Within frame it is very very tight fitting, I have not put the draught strips over/through the hinge. Single door quite difficult to open. When fitting magnetic catch a note needs to be added to start on door two as this is inside door one and can possibly overhang if located too close to edge. Other than the details above I am delighted with the doors, took around 5 hours in total to install.”

“good sevice, easy to order,delivery was exasctly as arranged. Quality of the product is good and value for money. Only negative is the installation instructions are not quite as comprehensive as they might be.e.g no mention of fitting a flush cill and seals and jamb fixing points only gave a vertical measurement leaving the installer to guess.”

“Doors arrived in excellent condition, well protected. All parts were present and the instructions were clear. I just wished my joiner had read and followed them! Only one design criticism: To fit the door handle and lock the joiner had to drill through the door and rebate out a space to fit the barrell. As all other rebates had been pre -drilled why couldn't the lock have been similarly pre-drilled? To support the top rail screws had to be inserted through the aluminium rail into the wall above. However with a cavity wall as ours this mean screws going into a void - providing no support. I had to drill screws at an angle and countersink the holes to allow for the track wheels to pass smoothly. This way I could fix the upper track rail to solid structural members. The joiner missed this completely - no wonder the doors didn't close smoothly! The doors are now fitted and finished”

Thanks for your feedback. We do not machine for the keyhole in the face of the access door because the Vufold door set you purchased is reversible for left or right opening and the doors are reversed by turning them upside down. If we pre-machined the key hole in the factory, this would eliminate the reversibility of the door set. Everything else has been pre-machined to ease the installation process. Your door set it top hung so fixing the frame head directly into the steel is a vital part of the installation, as detailed in our assembly instructions. Sorry to hear your joiner did not follow the instructions, however we are pleased to hear you managed to rectify this. Kind Regards

“The doors arrived as expected but instead of the two person delivery team it was only the driver that did the delivery, which meant I was second person. The driver was reasonably helpful but was feeling tired by the time we had offloaded the doors & frame. It would have been more helpful if it had been made clearer in the instructions that depending on whether the doors were to be set as either right or left hand opening made a difference which way up they had to be fitted. The packaging was marked 'this way up' but that was only for a left hand fitting. Unfortunately I required a right hand fitting which meant turning them upside down. I was also not left with a delivery note as the driver only had his copy which I had to sign and which he kept.”

Thank you for your feedback. Vufold offer a 2 man home delivery service however if we have a 1 man route available enabling a quicker delivery, we will offer this as an option via text message for you to accept or decline. We will review our instructions regarding the labelling and rotating of the doors to see if we can make it clearer. Our delivery company do not leave copies of delivery notes.

“Our 14ft doors look fantastic. It took our builder a day and a half to install them. These were the first Vufold doors he had fitted and he found the weight of the triple glazed doors hard to manage. My tip - find a builder who has fitted them before. Our builder has learnt loads from fitting our doors and future customers will benefit from his experience in fitting our doors.”

“Advice prior to ordering and despatch was very good and the delivery slot was as promised. Our builder had never fitted an Inspire room divider before but found it relatively straightforward. We are pleased with the overall product, which meets our requirements fully, except for the fact that one door surface has a completely different (wavy) wood grain and colour to the others. This became more apparent when varnish was applied and as it is on the side which faces into the room, it is very visible. It's a pity that on a relatively expensive item, a bit more care wasn't given to matching the doors.”

“Chose the door to go between lounge and conservatory with the internal cill. Easy to assemble with clear instructions. Only criticism would be the mix of torx and crosshead screws for the hinges and door furniture.”
