“This was bought to filter out strong sunlight in a workplace, we nearly ordered 27 rolls! But I interveined and said lets just order one and see if it works. Well.. It is up in the window and it actually accentuates the sun so it seems more blinding! So probably the wrong choice of item by us. We are now out trying to source an alternative.”

Sadly you have not ordered the correct product for your requirements. You have ordered a Yellow Stained Glass decorative film which is not really suitable for your purpose.

“arrived promptly, but not well packed. I ordered 2 films incase I made a mistake, one was creased beyond use in the box, and the other had a crease that i didnt spot until it was on the window. Instructions were clear, and the product seems good quality, just poorly boxed up and shipped. The final result is ok but there is a visible crease on the window.”

We are very sorry if the film you ordered arrived damaged. We do state in our Terms & Conditions to contact us on receipt if the film is damaged or faulty and not to fit it. We would then ask for a photo and issue a replacement.

“I ordered two narrow strips to cover plain glass in a door. The first strip went on perfectly, the second however was hard work. It would not line up correctly anc constantly kept creasing and getting air bubbles. On further examination it was not cut straight at the top so was constantly getting more and more lobsidded asit went further down the glass. So I have one perfect pieces and one that has a few creases and air bubbles as even trying to make the top straight the taking off and trying to replace on the glass had affected the delicate strip”

“The quality of the film is excellent, but unfortunately the instructions were not clear and I found them difficult to follow. As a result the film was slightly damaged whilst I was applying it onto the window and looks pretty naff, so I will have to remove it and buy something else, preferably made to measure (which I should probably have ordered in the first place).”

“Lovely pattern which I had hoped to use with the 'reeds' standing vertically. I thought I had understood the dimensions, but on ordering it turned out the roll height is the pattern height, see image provided of 50cm x 8m roll. Luckily the pattern still works when used horizontally and looks a bit like ripples/reflections on water. The film has an adhesive coating, which is different to other films I've used and so seems a little less forgiving when fitting. Great for a bit of privacy whilst allowing light in.”

We are sorry that you misunderstood that the roll height is the pattern height and that this misled you to ordering the incorrect size the fit the design with the reeds running vertically. We haven't had this issue crop up before but we do apologise and appreciate your constructive criticism.
We are happy to hear though that you still managed to use the film by fitting the film with the design running horizontally and I'm sure it still looked lovely.

If you use the correct side of the squeegee which is soft then you shouldn't get scratches and if the film was creased when it arrived we would have replaced it had you contacted us and emailed photos. Unfortunately if we aren't aware that the film has arrived damaged we can't put it right.

“The packaging was poor as the roll of film was quite damaged. The first bit I put up was so scratched it looked awful. Luckily I had ordered enough to replace with another bit. It has now dried and you can still see a bit of damage at nighttime but it’s ok.”

“Arrived promptly and look great. However, the fitting guidance is for tinted car windows whereas our decorated film is clearly for interior glass. I fitted the first 2 self adhesive Victorian window film sheets poorly leaving bubbles when trying to align the pattern. They would have looked great if I had fitted them properly, but I’ll have to buy some more. Disappointed, that I didn’t do a good job.
We also ordered precut MX02 film sheets for other interior glass, but these don’t have a peelable backing and I have no idea how to fit them. I’ll contact Abode soon on that.”

The good news is that you liked the look of the films you had ordered but we are sorry you had trouble fitting the film. The Window Film fitting instructions are on the reverse of the Vehicle Tinting Instructions which we're sure would have made the fitting process easier had you realised and hopefully left you with a perfect finish.
The MX02 panels definitely have a finer clear liner that needs to be removed before fitting and we will contact you privately to give you further advice and discuss the issues you've encountered.

“Product was heavy duty and does the job but was very hard to apply, leaving wrinkles and bubbles even when applied by a professional builder with me (client) in support. Not sure if it's down to the product or the workmanship but it will need replacing...”
